Yeah, possibly only using a single email address on that domain and using email forwarding for gmail. Perhaps the gmail interface is more convenient or the domain email doesn't have a web interface.
Then again, the same street address / PO for Altcointrader is being used for a bunch of enterprises. So probably cost savings or convenience (can stay logged in to multiple accounts at once but use the same familiar interface)?

Perfectly legit, but probably not ideal, especially considering it looks like a spoof on the surface.

Now my email address being in the wild is one thing, but what about the copy of my passport and my banking details... I'm hoping they only use Hetzner for email and not for the webapp and database hosting.

Already extremely secure and private, with an optional feature to completely anonymize transactions. Solaris is aiming at establishing one of the first truly anonymous crypto-currency. Soon, we will be using Zerocoin Protocol as our Full-time Transaction Protocol.

SECURE

Built on Bitcoin Core 0.10.x. with some v0.13.2 updates and Dash core v0.12.1 BIP38 Encryption/Decryption of Private Keys.

ASIC RESISTANT

SolarisCoin uses XEVAN as mining and spork algorithm. This algorithm was originally found by Bitsend (BSD) and has proven to protect against ASIC mining hardware.

OK, I think I know how they gleaned my details - my response to Altcointrader:

Hi, I believe I have found the weak spot. It seems your system has not in fact leaked email addresses, but it's very likely that someone is conducting an attack on your site by:

1) attempting to reset passwords for known email accounts (they have a list of compromised email accounts - which they have gathered from another source) to see if an Altcointrader account exists on your servers for that email. Since your system confirms whether an email account exists for that address or not when you attempt to reset the password, they can confirm email addresses that have an altcointrader.co.za account.
2) attempting to brute force the password - your locking policy works well to thwart this.

My suggestion is to have one generic message that neither confirms or denies the existence of an account at the submitted address when using the password reset feature to prevent leaking that piece of information.

In short, you can enter anyone's email address in the reset password field to confirm if they are an Altcointrader user.

This is why it's useful to use the myemail+somethinghere@gmail.com trick where you never use your email address as your login. I believe this works with gmail and microsoft accounts. That way if your email address is compromised, it's never used elsewhere.

One master node (running on VPS) bringing in about $2 per day currently.

I had an existing VPS with websites and the like, so the masternode is paying for itself at a rate of 75% to 80% ROI per year and can then cover VPS cost and some passive income thereafter. If all goes as expected of course.

Decided to trade the little bit of BTC I had in my Luno account for Eth. I've never really considered investing in it like this (vs. Mining), but figured I might as well dip my toe in for a feel and see where it goes.

As a currency to shift around and trade with eth is such a pleasure to use compared to bitcoin. If I need eth in an exchange wallet I can get it there in under a minute. Especially with luno now - the fnb to luno eft clears in about 2 minutes and I can get my eth out to myetherwallet and to an exchange in under 5 minutes from clicking 'pay' in FNB.

Yeah I'm slowly but surely building my portfolio up a little bit, and will try to give equal attention to this, along with BTC and XRP holdings, perhaps a 20%/30%/50% split between XRP/ETH/BTC. Maybe.

I have an idea for an app or website related to crypto. Nothing crazy just seen a gap for something that might be useful. I don't really code (probably need python / jscript) so...if you're a developer etc. send me a pm and I'll tell you what the idea is and you can let me know if it's silly or worth taking further. I'm not talking to someone with 10 posts. Just the usual mybb people.

No, I don't want to start an ICO for this shiz :p.

WHY?!
You just need to weed out the proper ICO's With a little research you can know which ICO's are scam and which are actual projects that solve a problem!
There are few criteria actually, very easy!
