No I haven't, but I purely purchased because I had a feeling about XRP :o

When a friend of mine who now lives in Canada came down for holiday, we started chatting about bitcoin and such, and he told me he did some research on XRP, and that he feels like it's a good coin to invest in. SO I bought a little bit. Let's see.

I’m in it for the long term

Holy **** some altcoins have exploded the last few hours.
And it's not their USD value but their BTC value that's going up which is fantastic.

Who else is stockpiling XRP - Ripple ??

The thing about XRP is that it's intention is to primarily to provide settlements globally between large financial institutions and the developers have publicly stated they don't care about it's value, just it's functionality to do that. It also has a very large quantity in circulation (32 billion) compared to most other cryptos. So you need to consider how it's going to be used and where the demand will come from. If you consider that the total market cap of XRP is about $11bn and the volume of daily foreign exchange transactions is something like $3 trillion, a switch to XRP for any significant portion of that market would definitely see it's value increasing.
