MyBB seems to be always reporting on whatever the same old bunch of people says. So sick and tired of what Arthur Goldstuck or the Telkom CEO and every other 'internet entrepeneur' or ISP CEO in SA's opinion is. Most of it is just moaning and placing blame in any case.

Bring us more interesting articles! I would like to see more technical stuff, more sharing of worthwhile info.

It is local broadband related news. For general technical stuff there are hundreds of other sites.

I mostly visit MyBB for the forums and not the articles.

Yeah, I generally go straight to the forums, sometimes end up on the main news page by accident, but go straight to the forums from there. Otherwise, only really see articles if they are connected to a forum post.

Most of the forum posts are useless too, with the exception of the technically related posts - people giving tech related or practical advice or company reps helping folks out with issues. You know things such as connectivity issues, which gfx card is better with which mobo, which online shop is legit, etc. Those are all good posts offering invaluable advice.

That's why there are sub-forums, especially for "Off Topic" threads.

I always read the feature articles on MyBB and Business Tech before commencing with the forums.

Different strokes...

Yeah, the quality of OT section is terrible. But the quality of the tech related forums is good. I don't know about certain industry related sub-forums but the presence of industry reps and people who are clued-up with connectivity issues is invaluable. I'm sure the industry related sub-forums are just as good.

If this is the only place where you get your news, then I am not surprised.
Most of us who frequent other forums and news sources end up bringing news from there to here.

Yes, I agree here, those issues you have mentioned are what I find interesting, I will generally go into the forums, click on New Posts, and see what's there (obviously shows the entire forum), and will reply if I am interested enough).

I agree, to the point, then suggest to Arthur Goldstuck and other celebrities to read forum before taking stance on locally available products. By example before talking about laptops read this: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/487166-Clevo-laptop-yay-or-nay or this: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/482152-Mecer-jw6-ultrabook-review
Other suggestion would be taking some forum discussion results to the main page news. It would invlolve reading discussion first - with understanding. :) hehehe.... :)
