Remember this situation paints the picture for the future. you have to draw the line somwhere or those women will be running everyones lives.

Honestly, your brother has to juggle the wife's feelings with yours and since he don't get no nooky from you (I hope) he is going to choose his wife.

I have a mother in law, I can imagine how it went down...
MIL "Ooh, I can look after your pets while youre away"
Brother "No, my brother has that in hand.."
MIL -chilled voice "Oh.. ok fine"
Wife - reconcile voice "But you can also check on them mummy...":rolleyes:

I don't think you need to be confrontational...

All you need to do is get together with your dad and bro and let them know how they made you feel. Thats what it comes down to. Its not about justification, or getting an apology, and demanding one will only lead to confrontation. If they know how they made you feel, they will avoid doing it that way again.

Yes... to a degree. However there are some things I wouldn't want the whole forum and his dog knowing about. Think of a thread titled: Help! I have the Herpes. Now every time that formite posts elsewhere you'd think "ahh, yes, the herpes dude."

She has toy's which is why your brother will always be on her side.

I can actually see where the OP is coming from I have been in a simular situation before.

The thing I can say is that I know tha you feel like the whole world is going against you but its more like the typical type of problems that happen when two families join. Everyone just gets on everyones toes, I doubt they were trying to make you angry.

From the looks of it I think that the mother-in-law insited on looking after the house. Most likely she wanted to try and be helpfull, mothers-in-law often do things like that. I don't know if you have one for your self but mine does stuff like this all the time. You will see that it is easier to just let them do it, less stress for everyone. I assume that this was your brothers thinking as well !

Hell if the woman wants to pop in and see you watching porn in your undies, that is her own problem.

Don't take it too personally dude, its more about her than you.
 
How old is your brother? He gets engaged and still stay with your dad?
He should get his own place surely?
 
Next time you go to their house, take your gun with you. When you hear strange sounds in house, start shooting! You might be doing your brother a favour!!!

MIL knows she cannot look after the pets. Especially the parrots because they dont just let anybody into their cage to feed them. MIL is sh\t scared of the parrots too. MIL and fiancé dont like dogs anyway. Fiancé screams and shouts at the top of her voice at the dogs a lot anyway.

There are reasons I have the key. We use a part of the house as an office and also I bring my dog there on some days to keep company with the their dog.

...but enough is enough. I have decided to give my set of keys back when they return from holiday.

Late twenties. Circumstances. Buying your own place is expensive. I can't wait for the day they do get their own place.

So you're willing to lose what seems like a good relationship with your dad and bro over this?

I'f you decided to give the key back, cool. but at least let your bro and dad know that you're changing the dynamics of your relationship with them. After all they didnt tell you about the MIL. They may be under the impression that you're ok with everything. You're the responsible one remember?
 
You are over reacting about this situation completely.

It is simple really, put it in point form:
Your bother is getting a wife and mother-in-law.
You are no longer needed.

Think of this as a blessing.
You can now get on with your life and do the things that you want to do.

Do you have your own life?
