AMD cuts prices again!

They should use this motto: "We're no.2, but damn we're cheap!"

they should also use the motto, we change our cpu pin number every 2 years so ppl have to upgrade to our new stuff

how long have intel used lga now?

Apparently, AMD takes the price/performance market very seriously, most likely because that's all it has at the moment.

funny they never used to think this way when they had a better cpu, maybe if they had they would have more market share

Man, where to start, how many different Intel chipsets did they have to bring out to support this or that processor because of some voltage difference (northwood>prescott>pentiumd>pentiumEE)? huh?

If you dont know the answer, it was a lot. How long did AMD have socket A while Intel went throught s370, ,s423, s478, and now 775?

Not to mention that crock of shyte Slot1

They have always had the better price/perfomance CPU's so I don't know where you get that. Yes, their top of the range guys were expensive but the middle to lower market they always won.

I wouldnt mind a nice cheap 5600+ ;p

And KillaBOOB keep your replies on topic.

k'thx bi

how long have intel had lga 775 now? nobody answered

why not a cheap 6000+?

ummm if i remember the 3000+ 3200+ 3400+ where a little more than intel's 3.0 3.2 and 3.4ghz cpu's that was the middle order but yea they really cheap now

specially the 6000+ thats an awesome cpu with a 60 dolla cut wow it will be like 1.2k ex vat

noxi im not sure to be honest but i think amd has had 754 939 and now am2

while intel has been using one socket lga 775

i stand to be corrected

Svzkgy87 i am on topic just more on the curb than the road

While intel may have been using only one socket, you cant stick just any 775 CPU into any 775 mobo.

While with AMD, if it fits, it works.

For example, you cant use any Intel Dual Core CPU (Pentium D, C2D ect.) in a 775 mobo with a 915 chipset. While with AMD, you could stick a 939 Dual Core Athlon X2 in ANY 939 mobo with just a bois update.

So although intel may have only used one physical socket in the past few years, it doesnt make their mobo-cpu compatibility any better than AMD's.

lots of lga 775 mobo's worked with core 2 all you needed was an updated bios

you cannot say the same about 754 939 or am2

if you change cpu with amd every 12-24 months you very likely have to get a new mobo

not so with most intel cpu's if you do your homework before purchasing

maybe am2 will make it past 20 months

they a desperate company now. At first it was "crap! intel made some thing new. It can't be that good it says core 2 duo, ha, we know will add a few pins on our cpu's and say they new! they won't see in coming!"

And then they thought"Wow fellow guys working at amd, ati starts with a and has three letters! dam! look at that, we can buy them out coz they have lost tons of cash and they really cheap now, maybe if you buy them out, our new bad streak might cancel out there bad streak!"

And Now.... "god dammit, what have we done! i mean the price cuts are so much it's the opposite of Zim. inflation, AND WE STILL AINT SELLING!"

I have rights to rip both this one company off as i am a user of amd cpu and ati gpu,

And i got a ps3, OH THE HUMANITY!
