I'm excited. I don't think they'll beat the 4090, but they will likely compete on price and hopefully have some interesting offerings in the midrange at a good price point.

I'm hoping they've learnt from the AM5 launch that consumers aren't just going to pay for the new thing when there is viable competition.

I agree.

The GPUs we are expected to see at the announcement tonight are the,
  • RX 7900 XTX
  • RX 7900 XT
  • RX 7800 XT
  • RX 7800
I hope that AMD gets the value proposition right. It will still be some time until we see reviewer benchmarks.

It might beat 4090 in raw perforamnce, but not with DLSS and RTX

Couldn't care less, how many body parts do you need to sell this time. The way PC hardware prices are going, only the super rich will be able to say they own a gaming pc.

I am not going to post leaks in this thread since the sources are unknown and hence credibility can’t be ascertained, but the shills have it that the RX 7900 XTX will be priced around 15% lower than the RTX 4090. Since this can't be validated, this thread will only report on what is announced tonight.

Hoping for significant rasterization improvement and that they don't try and compete with Nvidia pricing.
4080 pricing is a joke.

15% off a 1600$ GPU, still leaves you with 1360$ not exactly cheap. If that's the case, AMD try and undercut Nvidia by 15% and match it by performance vs performance.

4080 1200$
3080 700$
Increase of 42%
4070 900$
3070 500$
Increase of 45%

Nvidia is almost charging a 50% increase so 15% down from such a increase do not mean much at all.

I must say, Nvidia put in much more energy with their Ada Lovelace announcement than AMD is with RNDA 3. AMD sounds like they are giving a lecture, so much that I have lost attention.
