So, AMD's next FSR iteration will allow up to 2x (or more). Coming 2023. I guess this is what the shills were punting.
 
AMD Adrenalin is also coming with new bells and whistles as the usual, and also per the usual it is likely to be locked down to the latest hardware trickling down over time.

Seems RNDA 3 will have a media engine which works with OBS, and other creation apps. I am not going to post as I listen since much is being said, but there are some pairing technologies using AMD's latest CPUs and GPUs.

Will post the RNDA notes when available.

Note: AMD is strong in Snowdrop titles.

Both these GPUs seem to be amazing value. FSR 3 will also give it a decent boost when released in 2023.

I won't be looking at the 4070 and to the 'unlaunched' 4080 12GB. AMD grabbed my attention more so than their lacklustre Las Vegas crowd.

The price is... OK, much better positioned than the competition, but the question mark now is localised pricing and general availability in launch time.

We still deal with scalpers and an unpredictable crypto market. RX 6700/6750 GPUs are still being bought to spec mine.

Will Nvidia respond? I guess it is up to the reviews.
 
Something tells me that AMD sugar-coated this announcement, dissing the 4090, but not comparing to the 4090... I guess they couldn’t hold out any longer since FSR 3.0 is still baking.

Those titles were well-picked.
 
I enjoy FSR just as much as the next guy but if games don't support it what's the point, FSR 2.0 looks worse than DLSS 2.4 while FSR 2.1 looks almost identical but there's only like 10 games that support it while there are tons and tons of games with DLSS.

To me the extra added goodies these days have to be good too and at the current point in time Nvidia has better goodies.

From a marketing perspective, AMD needs FSR to beat Nvidia. Seeing that AMD avoided being compared to Nvidia, I don’t think they have the rasterization to compete raw. It validates the price, and Nvidia’s 4090 and 4080 aren’t marketed to the masses in any case.
 
Generally, halo-classed products aren’t marketed to everyone. The person who is in the view that the 4090 is priced too high, will be looking at something like the 4060/4070 anyway. The same applies to AMD, they might have heavily undercut Nvidia at the top-end (reviews pending), but most will be looking at the 7600/7700.

I think the RX 7700 XT will be a very good value proposition, going by the expected price matrix. When AMD releases the 7X50 series, it will likely have GDDR6 memory with up to 27Gbps. That could be quite the memory bandwidth increase. Personally, since I am in the market now, I will be holding out until 2023 Q2/3.
