Just switch to another ISP if your ISP is giving service
odd i usually i call them once and they normally call me back till everything is sorted like always.
i actually found their support to be the best that is.

They came and did a site survey at my place. I can see their antenna from my house so not an issue, abiut 7 weeks later I get an email asking if i am interested. At the time I met with them I was, because they were not heard from again, I went with 8ta 10gig.
Amobia doesn't use wimax.

Technicians came to my house yesterday evening after 6 days of complaining, they found some DNS issue on amobia device, after fixing it I can browse some websites, but not all. Apparently they have assigned this issue to highly technical person and he knows every thing.

Amobia says they can't guarantee a skype call on a 3mb uncapped line, unbelievably really, see the skype bandwidth requirements below, for voice it only requires 30kbps up and 30kbps down. Basically on 3mb line they can't even guarantee 30kbps up and 30kbps down on 3MB line

My skype works just fine on 3mb uncapped with amobia even with my heavy downloads on.

Do you know if their uncapped package is shaped or unshaped?
Sorry dude, I am not sure as I am looking at their capped packages.
All of their packages are 'shaped', but its more about the contention ratio than the shaping... 20:1 will most certainly be 'shaped' as there are 20 people sharing a 4mbps pipeline. 10:1 will also be shaped, but to a lesser extent. 5:1 is where we are heading to the unshaped territory as this is capped and there wouldn't be any need to shape as people won't be downloading at the same time.
If you are looking at the uncapped home accounts, they are definitely shaped, but they did say to me that they have a local cache server, so popular stuff will be cached and therefore very quick to download...
