Analogue to S-video conversion cable - where to get?

Heh I re-read... deleted that one, just checked the picture isn't one of those plugs HDMI ?

You can buy a PC to TV kit at Esquire for under R500. That takes your VGA plug and converts it to RGB and RCA...

I could rather get an external hdd that connects to a TV for that...Or a DVD player with USB-in.

Try COMMUNICA in Centurion... They have pretty cheap solutions to these kind of problems. :)
 
There is a little box available that you can use - Video Out to RCA(Component) and S-Video converter - all you then need is a long enough RCA Cables...


S(9 pin) to AV; S; HDTV (Y,Pb,Pr) output
 
So more than a cable is needed?

YES. You need electronics to do downscaling of the signal from 31.5kHz to 15.625kHz, a simple cable is not going to do this for you I'm afraid.
