ANC getting some sense?

It remains to be seen whether they have silenced him or not. I still see him doing it anyways.

I think they will make sure he doesn't do it anyway, and if he does .. I rate they will do something about it because now they are under the spotlight, and as idiotic as they generally are, I don't think they want a civil war to be sparked by this clown, and right now the AWB is very sensitive.

Yip, just as I thought, you can never win as "they" always move the goalposts.

"ANC will never muzzle Malema", they say. The ANC does. "Too late", they say.

They put a leash on him, that's all that counts. Let's leave the tin foil hatting and speculation.

If July-Arse had any brains at all, he would use this as a stepping stone to creating his own far left wing party. He would then create a major divide politically for the ANC, which would essentially benefit South Africa by loosening the ANC's grip on South Africa.... hmmm food for thought.

i like the way they have stated that they are not his "protector"? are they stating something? just a thought *taps head*

The ANC have done absolutely nothing here except release a statement.

They have not muzzled Malema in the slightest, the Equality Court has done so.

ETV reported that Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane sang "Shoot the boer" yesterday, so it seems there is still some in the ANC who is playing cheap politics as the cost of all South Africans.

I am clad Zuma did the right thing.

They have done nothing. Just the usual "quiet diplomacy" from Your "leaders".

They have done more then the bitter verkramptes said they will. Win as far as Im concerned. They have settled some fear and most likely prevented further polarization and extremist violence or retaliation.

Nonsense - they got backed into a corner by the protests, and have now made some half-hearted attempt to resolve the issue.
I suppose you missed the part where they implied they are above the law? "Only the ANC can decide blah blah" and ignoring the fact that the courts ALREADY decided?

This in no way absolves the ANC of anything - it just shows their fear.

ANC won't confirm Malema muzzle

http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&click_id=13&art_id=iol1270621830948Z554

ANC spokesman Jackson Mthembu confirmed this morning that Malema had met with the ANC's top six officials and said while he was not privy to their discussion, the singing of the song Dubul'iBhunu might have featured in their discussions.

Denial.

So, the ANC are committed to this are they? Or does their spokesman still have his head up his ass this morning?

Who says it absolves them from anything!? As i said, damned if they do and damned if they dont. At least they made a comment, even 1/4 hearted, instead of sitting back doing nothing, which is what the verkrampter warmongerers expected (and wanted!)

By the way you read way too much into "Only the ANC can decide blah blah".

I don't think he'll stop. He's too infatuated with his own belief of power now.
