ANC or nothing

yeah those sycophants were an example of black leadership in all of Africa...
it is not as if he had the best options and well educated around him.
No my Africa, it showed how white oppressors feared competent/educated assertive black leadership.
This sort of thing happened all over Africa at the dawn of independence, in the Congo the CIA murdered the promising leader in favour of the murderous Seseko because they needed someone more likely to bend to the will of the former colonialist in very part of Africa.

I think the ANC is close to the US Republicans. They want all their mates to get rich.

Odd considering how many ANC voters and members former and current are so in tune with Dem/labour supporters/members

Every election, I thought about it, but then I remember that they thought merging with the NATs was a smart idea.

Well you can't complain if you don't vote.

erm Seseko claimed himself to be a prophet?.... - now seriously this cannot be good for a route to independence!

What about countries like Ghana, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania....Rowanda?

please show me a prime example of good African leadership since colonization came to an end...

They think they are in tune.

Why is it that the foreign countries still continue to pour money into South African economy if SA is such a farked up country?

SA is group with Brazil, India cant remember the rest as emerging economies....the world seems to think that SA shows positive signs of growth apart from myBB experts and I am not attributing SA growth only to ANC but at the end of it all ANC is the government

because they are exploiting the country....?? and the ANC fails to see it (actually they see it, the voters don't)

China - the biggest exploiter, why do you think the old government wanted nothing to do with him, to protect our internal interest, but yet that was seen as evil.
South Africa has tons of resources, lots of skills, unfortunately the ANC will rather attract foreign skills and keep their people stupid (because they are getting nice deals themselves!), thus we have low education levels (yes they are exploiting the black population, chewing the elephant without them realising it) and not using the white people (who have the skills)!

so ask yourself what is the problem:
simple, we will end up with a big shortage of skills and experience in this country, hence all the skilled people will leave, we won't be anything better then the DRC,

The SA economy growth is largely attributed to SA having had sanctions, but in honest terms the we don't have any economic stimulation (the 2 must go together!)!

Once again the ANC votes fail to see that their 'liberation' is nothing more then a redistribution of wealth among the ruling ANC elite,

Damn this thread has turned in to a pointless read.
The world bank and other countries pour money in to here because of the minerals, gateway to Africa and most importantly... because they force you to sell western products.

I'm here because of the potential this country has to the global economy.
Funny how I am concerned, the more I read the shallow, small minded 'us and them' attitudes on this thread.

Coming from a person who's last company won an award for equal rights and all of that other PC crap... can you all stop making this a race issue and return to the political topic.
Or shall I apologise for the UK's part in world between 100-300 years ago as well?

'If you don't like the way the country is run... by the ANC... what can be done about it?'
'If you do like how it is run... why?'

Answers are meant to be in this post.
Thanks

Hello Whities

Why is it that the foreign countries still continue to pour money into South African economy if SA is such a farked up country?

The view of SA is pretty positive from outside, but I can assure that the UK at least, consider India to be a much more attractive country to invest in. People actually want to invest more in SA, but are concerned about the lack infrastracture support in SA. They couldnt care less whether its the ANC or the DA. As long as its a government which is elected by the majority. I know of many opportunities lost to SA because of the sorry state of the telecoms setup there. This business has gone to India and China instead. Last year, a client of ours considered Cape Town as a possible sight for its offshore call center. They would probably be looking at 2000 seats with a back-office support of 150 based in Cape Town. The reason being is that South Africa is in the same time zone and English is one of the official languages. Instead they opted for India and would rather pay the overtime to deal with time zone differences. The Telecoms costs would have been too high in Cape Town.

When investors are investing money into this country then its exploitation...I bet if they stop then blame would fall on ANC. I swear it wasn't too long ago that everyone was saying that if Zuma were to be president how this country would simply collapse into its knees....has that happened..NO!
"China - the biggest exploiter" What about likes of USA who have exploited our resources for decades?
Clever white folks in this country are raping BEE, while those who chose to complain will end up with nothing. How many BEE companies with phoney black CEO exists? so BEE doesn't only benefit black people

I'l go for nothing then, no difference as the empty-heads means nothing anyway!

And UK is pretty shyt from inside old and ancient....was amazed how many people from your country loved SA! I actually had friends from UK visit me last month.

Yeah right, did you see on the news how DA built people toilets on the streets with no covering shelter, just goes to show how much DA thinks of black people. In my opinion black people would be stupid to vote for DA, there's nothing which DA has done for black people to trust them instead they have done the opposite!
So what are your opinions on what the nature of a government should be, and how should it provide this??

I swear it wasn't too long ago that everyone was saying that if Zuma were to be president how this country would simply collapse into its knees....has that happened..NO!

Ooh, I was just waiting for this inevitable chirp. Zuma hasn't even been president for one year. Do you think the anti-Zuma crowd expected the excrement to hit the fan on day one of the big chief's rule? (though I'm sure I recall the ZAR going a bit wobbly that day). Let's reflect on your statement at the end of his term(s), shall we? If you turn out to be correct, every naysaying whitey will forever be indebted to your flawless judge of character. It's early days yet.

It takes a long time to wreck something that was well run, but guess what it takes even longer to build it back up again. Examples: see Kenya, Zimbabwe and Algeria

ok, please tell me where exactly I as a white person can apply for the BEE and AA jobs... I am sure a lot more white people on this forum would love to know how they can gain financially from this system that is empowering black people! (and failing to do so, because there are only a few black people with decent skills in this country).......
