ANC Tech Tips?

Yea, I don't buy that. The fact is GN is LTT's competition. Also in the video I shared, GN was defending LTT now they want to donate Linus to the toetag society. Something is really not right with this whole thing.
What's not right with this whole thing is LTT. If it weren't factual, LTT wouldn't have taken the entire week off their content schedule to correct things in the company.

I think Steve's approach was perhaps a bit more harsh and nitpicky than necessary, but he called them out on their BS and their ultimate response is, "yes, our bad. We'll fix it."

So...calling out bad behaviour and having the responsible party concede and address the issue is exactly what is expected.

Not even remotely, this is like saying Tiktok is competition for Longform youtube videos. Different markets

Well Paul I think got it right.

For **** sakes GamersNexus was the one that notified Linus of their channel hack. Much easier to get your "competitor" ousted by just leaving it then. Rather than nitpickying Technical issues and dubious behavior

Again.no.

Comparing Loslyf and Huisgenoot because both have pictures and words in afrikaans doesn't make them the same
I am not invested I don't like Linus I don't like Steve, I don't like Jason.

I follow channels like Proper Printing and BadSeed Tech. They cover the stuff I want to know about. Also various silicone mold makers and stuff like that.

Both Steve and Linus can sink or swim for all I care.

You do realize that he/she/they/them did watch the video right? They even commented on it.
You do realize LTT/LMG have bigger issues than the GN video?
GN was doing his job, absolutely nothing wrong with that.
You dont care, so why bother posting?

So your opinion is uninformed...and uninterested...cool

Do you think Steve will survive it if LTT goes after him when he makes a mistake?

Also, show me a company that doesn't have problems with staff.

No. That's idiotic. GN have a history of calling out unethical behaviour, this is just another one on the list.

Nope. Or at least, that's not the whole story.

Look Steve is the guy who had Linus on speed dial the day LTT was hacked. That's not just a nobody. At very least it's someone who you are professionally close with. He could have brought any of the issues in the video up directly with Linus, giving him a chance to sort things out before releasing a video saying why LTT sucks.

But he didn't.

I wonder what happened between the hacking the release of this video that maybe shifted Steve's view on Linus and LTT?

Perhaps a video with one of his employees slamming GN, Steve's company, was released by another channel without Linus following up on what could, one, be considering financially damaging, or two, insulting (not reaching out to Steve to at least be like "sorry dude, I'll talk to my employees" seemed fair), might have had something to do with it?

Initially I was on board with GN and their release of the video. After a while it seemed to be that Steve was using "journalistic integrity" as a shield to get back at LTT for the insult, while also pointing out their dodgy benchmarks and absolute crap internal controls.

Basically LTT employee goes "I'll show you why GN / HU sucks" and Steve going "okay mate, now it's personal" isn't impossible and in fact quite likely.

Also, Coreteks got done dirty.

Found this in my recommendations. Listened to it while exercising. He makes a lot of good points but with only 87k subs I doubt Steve will take this channel seriously.

Steve believes LTT took a swing at GN. But instead of asking Linus to respond accordingly and professionally. Steve went and killed LTT outright. LTT has not posted a video since the apology.

What we will see is a lot of downscaling to try and recover from the LTT side but essentially it is game over for LTT.

That said I don't know what people see in GN. Steve is a passive-aggressive cave troll.

There are a lot better channels than GN. So I suspect they will go down with their ship as well. The tech review space is saturated to the point that it is irrelevant anyway.

Actually I think it's ridiculously simple....

GN saw the signs they could not ignore anymore that LTT was on the brink and realized tough love was needed. If they used a softer approach the problem probably would not really have been solved.

Most people I think don't understand how a business can become a monster with a life of it's own with the people in charge just hanging on for dear life while stubbornly refusing to admit they need to refactor everything from the ground up because the nature of the beast has in fact changed.

Yea, running a business is hard. It really is. You must see my taxes for this year it is insane. But yea this is not topical.

But you are right I think LTT grew too fast and made a lot of mistakes. It is a pity they will not recover from this and get better at it. Having an industry testing standard would have kept companies like Asus and Nvidia in line now they don't have to worry about it anymore and it is us that get screwed at the end of the day.

LTT wanted to keep companies accountable. That would have been a good thing.

Ag please, LTT is going nowhere. One of the Paul brothers posted a video of someone that committed suicide, hanging on a tree and he is has more subscribers than ever after the scandal.
This is the internet, everyone is just here for the drama, when it passes after a week or two, everything just carries on.
