ANC - Western Cape independence!

We are. Very happy. But still believe secession would be even better and far more permanent. The SA political scene is a mess and we want out.

Ignorance is bliss. Sometimes we are too in love with the idea than to actually look at the reality.

To Cape-Indy... as much as you think Cape Town is your little castle, its part of my country and anyone who tries to take away bits of my country piss me off. Go to Oranje if you have such a thing for independence.

Do I really need to tell you what was meant by that? The ANC, COSATU, SACP and the rest have no will whatsover to share this country politically. They want everyone to tow the line to a socialist agenda, and will not tolerate criticism to the point where they'd take out the scorpions, judiciary, media etc. DO YOU AGREE?

The stats don't help us with that. The Cape has been better for a long time. Perhaps it's a legacy thing.

You have to study the history of the Cape to understand. It was never like other parts and there is no point it trying to force it to 'fall in line'.

No i dont agree. I dont think you understand the difference between colonialism and a majority government enforcing their will.
But "Colonial Bastards" sounds so much more passionate ,so go ahead, keep using it. :rolleyes:

Hate to break it to you.. Cape Town aint ganna get independence any more than Oranje will.. and Oranje as you pointed out is a crap hole. Now you want to take away South Africa`s mother city, one of our highest forms of income generators (Gauteng wins) and one of our Capital cities.

Thats a bit like... never ganna happen.
 
i find it interesting how ppl who are not from the Cape feel they know whats best for it. If you love the Cape, please, move down here. If you feel you have to prevent its people from moving along a path toward Independence due to your own insecurities then stay at home.

If for example, Gauteng wanted Independence tomorrow, Id support it and wouldnt try talk it down.
