Andor

I was wondering about that. We became civilized and spacefaring. So much so we spread across an entire galaxy, and we have people with wooden spears. I couldnt understand that. At least there is decent backstory in the lore to explain them.
There is the crux of it. Humans didn't become civilized and spacefaring in the Star Wars galaxy on their own. Humans were slave labour for the Rakatans until they rebelled against them (Luthen mentions the uprising when he gave Andor the kyber crystal) and pretty much stole their tech and quickly branched out across the galaxy mostly outbreeding the other races. That's why Star Wars tech has mostly stagnated with very little technological progress over thousands of years.

Ofcourse in branching out you will get human factions who are not interested in tech or even being part of the wider galaxy. Those who just wanted to settle on a planet and live their own lives. Even now you get people here on Earth who simply want to disconnect from society/technology and go live in cabins in the mountains somewhere.

I really did not know any of this, kinda a sad view of humanity in a lot of ways.

Really enjoying this series. Way more drama than a normal Star Wars series, and Im loving it.

The writing is still top-notch in this season :D

The rebel group on Yavin 4 being so disorganised is a continuation of what Saw Gerrera said in the first season about the other rebel factions being lost and without leadership.

Mon finally giving in and accepting that the life she knew is over, including losing her family and her best friend about to be killed off to protect her. Then letting go, getting drunk and dancing for what is probably the last time with the people she cares about.

And finally the Empire being exposed for how evil it really is as a whole and on an individual level. Including inciting and helping certain rebels factions to achieve their own goals, allowing the bending of certain rules when it suits them and SA by some of their officers.

Plus the soundtrack is awesome and I would totally grab one of the boombox speakers if Disney ever made one

Kids don't make them money anymore.
Im struggling to make my way through Skeleton Crew at the moment. I feel its perhaps something I should have watched with my daughter. There is enough Star Wars media for the kids. Andor is for a more mature audience. I just wish Andor had the special effects budget for aliens that Skeleton Crew has.

Damn, i was super keen to start Season 2, and watched a recap, but now i have even more questions lol.

Just goes to show how complex and intricate the story was. A lot was going on, and quite a number of characters you got to know. This show was so good, wow.

But now i need to find more recaps hope i get answers to my questions, or have to watch season 1 again.

Season 2 has been relatively kuk so far. The green screen stuff is OP.

Zzzzzzzzzz
Struggled a bit to get through the first episode of season 2. There was also something irritating about the comedic stupidity of those rebels when he lands the ship at the start of E01.
