Android 9 does not support call recording

I started using a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro today and I have noticed the phone comes with the Google Phone app which means no more in built recording. I never had this issue with my previous phone, the Mi Max 3 as the Miui phone app is bulletproof for call recording.

Please may I be directed to best Play Store App for call recording?
 
Using Total Recall on the Note 10+ without any issues.
It records all calls, and seamlessly transfers them to where I want them via WiFi.

No call recorder are working on any device since Android 9 update. Google confirmed that they will never allow call recording again in future. Unless your device has stock recording built in, you will always make use of Apps that will use your microphone to record calls. Some of these apps will work better on some devices and some worse on other devices. But, none of these apps will ever be able to record a conversation as they did before.

I can confirm that Total Recall does not work on my Note 9, Note 8 or Huawei P10, P20 and P30. It records incoming calls very quietly and cannot be heard when played back.

10.3.3.0 Global on Android 9

Guys on the Mi forums have also been unsuccessful in installing the Miui dialler APK as they say it just crashes on incoming call.

Flip, it's like being on my Mi A1 again :-/

This definitely puts a hold on me getting any of the latest Xiaomi devices out now.
Huawei it is.

Same on my stock Note 9. It works, but the voice of the incoming caller is recorded so softly via the speaker that it cannot be heard.

Google has removed the recording function from the O/S and not a single software developer can bypass this. All apps use the speaker to record, but Google even had a nice piece of code for trying to prevent that too.

Call recording is gone for Android devices and will not come back again.

Tell that to my Nokia with acr that records perfectly. Maybe xiaomi and Huawei users have reported the same. Samsung seems to be more the exception than the rule.

Just set acr to record via "Voice Communication (Software)" and your sorted.
