Android App requests / Looking for an app that does X - thread

Arw you worried about the feds!?

I know of people who have gotten letters from thier ISP, Feds and DMCA are all over torrents. Not that its likley, but using usenet makes ur ISP care less as your load on thier network is less, what makes them happy, keeps me happy. Never been shaped or throttled with usenet.
I often see my torrents being shaped. I can grab something with north of 10k users and get 50k on my 4mb, grab the exact same file on usenet and get 410k. I seldom see even well seeded torrents clear 300k, with usenet I seldom see it drop that low.

Its basically 2 good options, the 1 is slightly better, faster, more reliable, easier and costs a measly R30 extra per month and on top of that it ensures neither your ISP, fed or dmca dick can see what you are downloading without stepping up to your front door with a warrant, which they cannot get because they cannot see what your downloading.

South Africans?

South Africans?

Yes actually, I could care less about those outside of SA, they have no bearing on the information. 2 of them personally.

All our ISP's are legally required to send out warning should they get any notices from the Feds or DMCA, they required to log assigned IP addresses for up to 5 years. With a torrent, your IP is open, unless you are using a VPN. They do a simple IP Lookup, find the ISP, send them a notice who then passes it along to you.

They can also, with some extra legal mambo, get a court order to the ISP to hand over your account details, aka Name, ID, Phone, Address.
To my knowledge, the only person that ever happened was that local pirate who uploaded some silly local move to TPB.

Does anyone know of a reliable way to two-way sync Google Calendar with Microsoft Outlook on PC?

Posting here, because want to use this feature on Android.

Asking for a friend (I use Google Calendar on the web for myself)

My S3 mini doesn't have a notification LED. Looking for something to maybe light up the 'home' or 'back' soft keys. Or some other ways of knowing of a missed sms, call, etc.

Some kernels support this. You need to be rooted obviously

GSyncIt is a PC app that integrates with Outlook, syncs to Google Calendar, which syncs to your phone. In case anyone was wondering.

I'm looking for an app that will give an accurate as possible GPS location on my S5? I see a few on the store with varying reviews and accuracy claims, so without downloading them all, can anyone recommend me one?

I geocache with mine and haven't noticed that software makes a bit of difference, as far as I know the accuracy of the GPS is determined by the hardware and OS/firmware

looking for an app that will let me use my samsung as a modem when plugged into my pc. My old HTC desire used to do this natively

Anyone know of an app that will show your contacts on a map? Not live stalking but they addresses like a "find closest" button on your contacts list?

Give this a try

Connect with USB cable, go to Settings -> More Settings -> Tethering and Portable Hotspot -> USB Tethering (you must have USB cable connected to enable this option).

Also check the settings option for Portable WiFi hotspot, then you should be able to connect wirelessly to your PC - providing that it has WiFi capability.

Aldiko FTW!

Currently using it, in combination with Mortplayer, to read/listen the Song of Ice and Fire books

I have tried this, when I import my PDF's (±613 of them) then it tends to crash at some point and I can never figure out why because it crashes randomly, sometimes after 100 imports, sometimes after 10, very irritating, but I've just started installing it again and will test it again.

EDIT: Yes, crashed again.

I don't mind buying the 'premium' versions so long the FREE versions actually work.
Adobe's reader actually works quite nice, I just don't like the fact that I can't see the covers (so I'm not 100% sure what book I'm looking for) and ya...
