Android App requests / Looking for an app that does X - thread

I'm looking for an app that will be like a network media player for android.
Basically a Plex or XBMC interface with nice looking icons and menu's that will organize my network media saved on a HDD or USB stick connected to the wifi router. Without using a seperate pc as a server for everything. Basically a thin client type app that runs off the android phone or tablet and gives a nice interface to watch the media via wifi. No transcoding required.

I found it so wierd how you start your second sentence with the answer to your question, XBMC

I believe that with xbmc you need another device running as server?

You believe very incorrectly, your belief is however applicable to plex.
XBMC on Droid, works as XBMC on PC, you point it to locations, it scans for media and all is well with the world.

Sounds promising. Dont see ot on the Play store though. Link please?

Cool. Downloaded and ready to play around.
Do you have it installed?

Nope, completely useless to me, used it for like a few days when it came out just to see how well it worked, had a lot of trouble streaming HD, but this was like a year ago.

Hey all. I need a pdf reader that allows me to make notes on pages. The official Adobe app only does highlights, underline, strike through and copies text. I'd like to make notes on the sides of pages in my pdf's, and have them saved for later viewing. Any free annotating apps for Android out there?

Oops! I forgot to sub to the thread! Yes something like that. I want my scribbles+notes to persist, so that I can exit the app, launch it again and have everything the way I left it. Problem with Adobe is I lose everything the moment I leave the app. Which makes it useless to me.

I'm with Fanie here. Just remember to tap the tick icon on the top left before you leave the app. The only hassle that I have with Acrobat for Android is that it's sometimes unbelievably slow to register freehand annotations. Foxit is much faster, but it doesn't have text input.

I'm looking for an app that sets a static IP when i connect to a certain AP,

And disables it when connected with a diffrent AP like at home....

Got gingerbread so i need to keep manually doing it everytime at work.

It works.

Anyone know of a decent free video editor, one thing I need it to be able to do is add music to a video and upload to instagram. Tried a few but all get stuck at share to instagram, looks like some file incompatibility

I'm looking for an Office application guys.
OfficeSuite 8 (Free version) constantly wants me to purchase Premium (costs R250) and it's starting to irritate me.

WPS (Kingsoft Office). Has some problems with Swiftkey, but otherwise more than adequate.
