Android App requests / Looking for an app that does X - thread

I'm looking for something like camscanner - it can scan documents via the camera and automatically add a watermark. BUT, they charge per use (of the watermark feature) instead of getting you to buy the app once. Any alternatives?
Why would you need to ad a watermark to a scanned document?

For some vague level of protection when sending ID's or passports to companies. I usually put the name of the company requesting the information as the watermark so that it is clear that it is only intended for their use. In other words, it is more difficult for them to use it fraudulently.

Edit a photo of the ID (add watermark) and save to PDF.

I use Photo Editor on Android for this and other type of edits.

You can also add the text with Snapseed etc, load it in Photo Editor and immediately save as PDF.

Edit: I also add the name and exlusive use over everything

What anti virus are we recommending these days? And is it really necessary?
On Android? Nope. Android works with each app as a sandbox, as long as you install proper apps via playstore, you should be fine.
Google's got a scanner thing installed as well which checks your apps for known malware as well, just as an aside, so you kind of already have it built in.

Nothing beats only using trustworthy apps from the Play Store, not opening dubious email attachments and using an ad blocking browser like Kiwi.

good ad free youtube app?

tried vanced + microg but cant get the login to work.

tried a modified youtube app which works but auto updates overwrites it.

non-rooted phone

Forgot to mention I tried it already. Useless as it has no login option unfortunately. If you can't login you cant see your subscribed channels, notifications etc.
Hopefully YouTube Premium will be made available here at some point. I think you're stuck with the advertising until that happens.

Soooo tired of adverts. Trying to make call, hit advert inadvertently. Trying to route GPS, hit advert inadvertently. Trying to type, hit advert inadvertently. Etc. Tried DNS66. Not helping. Don't remember this being this bad with my Samsungs before stolen and replaced with Xiaomi/Miui. Anyone know of a good noob guide on how to overcome for non-rooted?

Adding a login means you're pinging Google, so any solution that does offer that is just going to end up being shutdown.
The only other option I can think of is viewing YouTube via something like Brave browser?

YouTube Vanced works perfectly. I'm not sure why you're having login problems?

You need microg with vanced to login and when i tap add account absolutely nothing happens. is your device rooted?

I'm trying to get away from Google-based apps as far as possible. I'm looking for anti-theft/device location app which isn't dependent on Google Services and the Play Store. It should also be open-source if applicable.

The problem is, you lose your device location ability if you have no Gmail signed in on your device.

Dont think it's free or if it will work,

Some phone companies also have their own tracking. My meizu has that option but requires you to login to their service.

Ads when making calls and maps (GPS)? You probably installed a naughty app that randomly display ads. When an ad pops up press the square button/recent apps to (hopefully) see which app it is. Clear its data and cache and uninstall.

Or you ordered the phone from a country where this is allowed or accepted and built in to the firmware.

No Xiaomi has it built in, it's why its hardware is so cheap, flash LineageOS on it.
