Android App requests / Looking for an app that does X - thread

Inclined to agree that it's built in. Been like this since I first switched the phone on. But of a pain in the arth! Thanks for suggestion. I'll read up on it first because I'm not very good at such things. (tend to brick devices and then toss them out {android TV = case in point} )
No Xiaomi has it built in, it's why its hardware is so cheap, flash LineageOS on it.

Thanks for your advice but as mentioned in another response - this is probably largely (but not exclusively?) UI related.

Ads when making calls = True Caller (free). Ads on GPS = Waze (again free). So I do understand that free apps will have ads but I took a 1yr break from Android to a Windows phone (prev. Android stolen, Windows was an affordable quick fix). Back to Android nearly 1yr ago and am shocked at the number of adverts/clicks required to display wanted content. Every time I open a webpage (Chrome), I practically need to block/close a pop-up. This (as best as I can recall) wasn't the case on my stolen Samsung Note or it's predecessors. In fact, never saw one advert on YouTube until I used YouTube on this phone (aforementioned YT alternative installed today and works a charm). You simply can't do much without a random sprinkling of ads. WhatsApp is probably one of the few exceptions (ad free).

Have tried AdGuard, DNS66 and now StopAd to no avail. They just seem to drain the battery faster.

Ads when making calls and maps (GPS)? You probably installed a naughty app that randomly display ads. When an ad pops up press the square button/recent apps to (hopefully) see which app it is. Clear its data and cache and uninstall.

Or you ordered the phone from a country where this is allowed or accepted and built in to the firmware.

That's about to change, WhatsApp announced ads incoming about 2 months ago.

Looking for a competition app using mobile devices. People fill out their details , do a quick survey and then registered for a draw.

At draw time, for the app to then randomly draw your choice of winners , etc 3 or 5 .. the ability to show the draw taking place on a big monitor when doing the draw would be cool

That's not an app you are looking for, that's a competition service, of which there are hundreds. Ann app like that would be bespoke, and quite frankly I am not downloading an app to enter your competition, would be the sentiment among most.

Take a look at rafflecopter

Thanks. will check it out. Google Kung Fu let me down . Can't find any. For our use case, not expecting anyone to download the app. We want to install it on a few tablets that will be placed on kiosk type mounts on a display stand we will be building.

Hi all, looking for an application that does "Applocking" - in other words requires fingerprint (preferred) or pattern in order to uninstall any application I put on its list
Two requirements however

1. Must have a paid for version
2. Fingerprint auth capability

Looking for an app to monitor my WiFi Hotspot connected devices and limit speeds. My phone doesn't have it built-in for some odd reason.

Hello, everyone! I work in the advertising industry as a videographer/filmmaker, and this frequently requires me to obtain talent release forms from the people I film, giving me their permission to use their likeness. So far I have been using my Samsung Chromebook Pro to obtain my PDF release form, navigate to the stylus input, have the person sign, then confirming the edit and backing out until the PDF saves. This works, but is very time consuming and awkward, and I often need to get a lot of these forms very quickly, so this can be a prohibitive process.

Is there an app that would let me upload the PDF once and use it as a template, which I can then have someone sign and quickly save and move to the next blank form? I have not come across something that will do this, but feel it must be out there somewhere. The ability to then export these signed documents back to completed, signed PDFs would be great, either as separate documents or a combined PDF with multiple pages.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Adobe fill and sign?

I've tried Fill and Sign, and while I've found it works really great for filling out forms myself, I have not found any way to set default forms and easily save and generate another. It also does not have direct pen/stylus input. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

I know this is older, but there would be no way to do this without root and then either injecting/modifying the OS. Best option it to put the settings page and Google Play store behind an app lock option, if the OS isn't like Samsung and have a drag and drop into uninstall at the top.

What you need can easily be created using a web form.
You can have fields IE name, number etc
At the bottom have a signature section which can be signed with any touch input, even a finger on a cell phone for example. You can then submit the form which stores it on your side, convert it to pdf using a unique reference number, send a copy to your email and the signee etc.

Drop me a PM if that's something you're looking for.

Hi all.

Looking for an app that can tell me in real time how much data is being uploaded/downloaded and by which app(s).

Used to use Netlive but is now incompatible with my S9+.

Thanks in advance.
