Hi All

I am looking for an Airtag like device for Android with which I can track tag's even when out of range from my own phone. I understand the service has recently been launched for Android.

I would just like to find out if there is perhaps any devices available in South Africa yet that works on the Android Find My Device Network.

Any assistance will be apricated.

Firstly, it's only launched in US and Canada I believe.

Secondly, as it requires the updated "find my device" network, it may take a while for current and older phone to get the updates.

Your best option is to use Samsung Galaxy Tag 2, but you'll need a Samsung Galaxy phone to set them up and locate them, as this uses Samsung Galaxy devices as the network.

If you have a Samsung phone with Android 8 or higher get a Galaxy smart tag. I have several and they work well.

If not, then look at Tile. Last I heard they have some kind of deal with Amazon to integrate into their mesh network.

As with most things Android the service has launched but devices are only coming this month.

Its available for Android 9+ devices on US and CA already. So nice try but fail from the Apple fanboy.

Thanks all for the replies. Unfortunately I dont have a Samsung phone so Galaxy Tag is not an option. Gues one will have to wait for the devices to get to South Africa frist.
