Android >>> iOS

A Youtuber(think MrWhostheboss) made a video once, why he switched to Iphone after 10 years on Android.
One of the main reasons was because Apple make like 3 phones a year compared to 1000 android devices. So app developer only have to optimize their apps for 3 Iphones where it will be impossible to do that for 1000 Androids with different chips, screens etc. So they just make a one size fits all for Android. Thus most apps just run better on Apple

Yeah, he did a great video;

A lot of the features he refers to have been resolved with the iPhone 13 (120Hz refresh rate and camera profile options for example).

Precisely why I got tired of mucking around with Roms - worra waste of time

That battery was probably shot from the first day you got it which is why you've had a kuk experience since Day 1 - quite honestly, it's like being given a Ferrari with bald tyres and worn brakes expecting a great experience.

maybe for you, for me, best experience ever! dont like it, change it, its not like a car where you have to break out the spanners and tools,
and get dirty, all you do is copy a file, push a few buttons wait a bit and heyah, new OS, new skins new features, all for nothing, and all completely changeable.
if you dont like them, or it isn't vibing for you.
Apple, WYSIWYG, dont like it go cry in the corner, or stash it in a drawer.

we will see when I get a 12, but honestly not expecting much, had a Ipad air 2 and that was worse.
and its battery lasted a lot longer and had the same MDM and other stuff on it

played around with a few peoples XR's same experience only bigger,
Apples "it just works" is It doesn't work for me, sorry, Tim cook Drop an ICBM on me, now that you know where my house is.

I've tried those cheapy phones (mostly 'cos I wanted to keep my Andtoid knowledge current - my Mom and Sister have Androids and ask me for help all the time)

Was not a good experience, clunky, inconsistent experience.

I would definitely not recommend a cheapie - you get what you pay for - kuk

If you're going to go Android go with the most expensive one available
I actually meant try an Iphone yourself, not an android,
go to an istore try one of their display models, see for yourself, and dont listen to me/others.

and yes Cheapy Androids can be nasty, unless you find one with Roms for it, then it can be livened up a bit.

I'll give you one thing, it's tough to operate in two ecosystems - there is no doubt that when your muscle memory is tuned to to the one, the other is terrible. This is what I find when I have to help my Mom or Sister with their phones - I don't use Android regularly anymore and the whole experience is just horrible - I can't find anything, swipes don't do what I'm used to, the app buttons are in difference places...it's just horrible.

So yes, I sympathise.

If you were forced to go iOS only (no Android at all), you'd have a different opinion within a month - guaranteed

Technically Android does not belong to Google, and I was discussing app support.

Would you like to link Apple's FairPlay issues? https://www.theoplayer.com/blog/workaround-safari-fairplay-regression-ios-ipados
I don't understand your argument here, entire discussion was general support/testing of apps against phones, the actual OS messing up is not the same thing.
Yes, it was only the Pixel devices that were affected. Like any consumer you don’t care whose fault it is, you just want it fixed.

Then you'd need to set up a connection between the MS account and the service, I'd prefer not to have that.
No. I use TouchID on my iPhone and I use Windows Hello on my laptop, neither has a connection to MS or Apple.
You can try it on GitHub.

Why do you think Apple boxes would be immune as well then? I am highly doubtful Netflix will pull support on Nvidia shield devices either.
Nope because it’s clear what’s supported, Apple TV users know they might have to upgrade to get 8k.

When you blindside users, you just leave them with a poor experience where they ask logical questions of how the exact hardware has support but the ‘telkom’ version doesn’t.
Whose fault is it? Google? Android? Telkom? Netflix?

This is exact reasoning for an iPhone, so you don’t have to deal with carrier BS.
Vodacom only supports e-sim on wearables, but they aren’t going to bully Apple into enforcing that.

If I ever do go to hell, Satan will give me an iphone and say there's your new phone.
then i'll consider myself in hell at that point.

even when I had to help others with their Iphones, and try to figure out where sh*t is, I hated it,
kept on saying to myself, Glad I never brought this, so glad I never spent my money on this.

and I had to get i-macs going, and i-pads and i-phones and all I kept saying to myself is why God does this POS exist?
why cant these Isheep people just buy anything else, litrally anything else,

go for a month without an android phone? Id rather beat myself with my own Torn off Limb,
or sit with a toothache or Vote for the ANC. no thank you .

Why? Are you a masochist?

Never have I ever seen such an insecure low life Android user that he literally have to come into the Apple section of the forum to come and attack what started as a simple question by OP.

Sure it’s fine to comment and make comparisons, nothing is perfect, each to their own, but holy crap I’ve never seen such a passionate hater all my life.

You've shifted the entire point. This was about dev support for apps.

No. I use TouchID on my iPhone and I use Windows Hello on my laptop, neither has a connection to MS or Apple.
You can try it on GitHub.
Then it's stuck on local, I'd rather want the steam integration or log in with Google instead.
You've also completely veered off the original point again.

So you think a company like Nvidia would have that issue either? And the Netflix issue is directly a Telkom issue, MyBB did an article on it.
Again, you're veering off-topic, now you're talking about carrier e-sim support for a device that hasn't been released, when the talk is about what is now.
