Android paid apps finally available in SA

hmmm 2nd thread like this ... but yes ... awesome stuff but not good for bank account :}

What's the process of making payment involve? Do you have to register your Credit card ?

I am still rolling cupcake on my two year old Magic... Upgrade due in two months - so much for the benefits of being an early adopter. Love android and this is long overdue. Still waiting on news of the release of the HTC Sensation. Supposed to have been released already, but nothing on the VC site. Ditto for the Nexus S.

Now I really have to start converting my iPhone app to Android versions..make some more Moolla..

A quick question... Are the paid for apps REALLY that much better than the freely downloaded apps? Suppose time will tell.

I understand it's the full market - including games etc - which isn't the situation with Apple's App Store. Anyone know why Google has got this right and Apple hasn't?

I take it this is a phased roll out, as no paid apps showing on the phone (market cache has been cleared) nor the web browser. By the way stock DHD no rooting taken place Yet.

Ok, so has anyone actually managed to buy any apps yet ? I've tried to get a few on my Galaxy Tab 10.1v and all i get "not available in your country" :/

(and yes I have cleared my cache and settings)
