Android TV Box - UK purchase

Good Day Everyone

My sister is coming down from the UK soon so I was thinking of asking her to bring a media player down for me.

1. Do any of you know of websites/ shops that sells this in the UK? (So far I found some on amazon)

2. What will be the best low cost one to get? So far I have seen Zidoo x1, mxq s802, mxq s805, mxq rk3229, docooler mini mxq.

I'm not gona stream heavy, only on occasions but I need my 2tb external drive to work on it as most of my stuff is saved on it.

Ja I see there is a lot but most of them seems like the same product.

I have no experience with them, do not own one myself. Which make is of the better quality?
 
I went with the Fire stick instead, have you considered one? Easy to use, and easy to install Kodi on.

I also have one and would recommend it.

Also, you can side load Plex onto the original Now TV boxes which you can pick up for as little as 10 GBP. Tesco and Sainsbury's were knocking them out discounted when I was there 6 months ago, so tell your sister to look there for a bargain. Very handy if you only want Plex (and British catch up tv).
 
I didnt know u could load kodi on the stick. Will look into that.

I saw the now boxes. I thought that it was their version of an explorer.

No. It's a locked down Roku with plenty of offerings from Sky (pay to watch) and freebie catch up apps from BBC, ITV, Ch4 etc. You can load Plex onto them easily, I've got 3 boxes all with Plex on. Actually, my wife pretty much only watches the UK free stuff and doesn't bother with Netflix such is the quality and depth of the UK tv stations. Only need Unotelly or some other dns service.
