Have you checked that the HDMI-CEC settings for both the TV set & the Android box are set to the ON option, allowing two-way communication between them?

I have 2 android boxes and a Roku lying here. All worked well, but I was surprised at just how much better the AppleTV actually does work.

Worked so well I got 2, not like the MiBox was bad, the Roku needs a considerable upgrade to be worthy of being called ahit.

Hi. Suddenly I have the same problem. My Skyworth Leap S1 says it is unable to connect to google server when trying to configure remote to TV volume. Used to work fine. What changed. Any help will be appreciated

This is still a problem. It may be a Google issue rather than the specific device I'm using. Bought a family member the same box, brand new, set it up the other day and tried to connect a TV, same problem on a brand new box, unable to reach Google servers!

It really does seem like this is a global issue with this system atm.

Nope. No fix. I've given up. It seems that it may be a problem with an update to the software of these Android boxes. My folks and sister both have the same box, and the same problem.
