Android TV Missing Channels

I recently found out that you can update android TV
so i updated mine from version 7 to 8
and ive grown to like the Home Channels thing it has going on
but i see that other android TVs have a channel called watch next and mine seems to be missing, is it like this for everyone?
(in channel customization it still gives me the option to customize watch next)

side note Showmax and Facebook watch also don't have a channels is that normal?

The only thing in my watch next is my Plex on deck, I assume it's something the app devs have to enable.
