Android Useful Apps

Any.do and Evernote is a must for me, use it every day. Any.do also syncs with Chrome, which is nice. I've also been using Apex Launcher since I got my SII about 1.5 years ago, it's a must in my opinion for customization.

I also rely on Evernote, but imo Tasks is significantly better than Any.do. Tasks has the cleanest, most attractive and functional to-do list widget, and it syncs to Google. There is a free version with the same widgets as the paid version.

I've been using Nova Launcher Prime since the 25c Play Store super sale, and it's clear to me why it's in the top 5 paid apps. Just love it, particularly with nice transition effects, custom icons at 120%, 50% transparency and vertical app drawer scrolling and tabs in the app drawer. This should be stock Android. I imagine Apex is quite similar.

Is it just called Tasks? I will check it out. I've tried Nova launcher as well, the free version, and it's very similar to Apex. All the cool features you mentioned there are available in Apex as well. There are some minor difference, I can't recall now, but all the important features are there like custom drawer tabs, folders in drawers, hiding apps, etc etc.

I agree, vanilla Android could learn a lot from these launchers and these features should be default, to fall inline with the Android customisation philosophy. I don't see myself ever going back to TouchWiz...

I used to use Tasks until i found out about Google Keep, now that's all i use. The only thing it's missing is password protecting certain entries.

WiFi Prioritizer

WiFi Prioritizer aims to solve a simple problem by attempting to automatically reconnect to a higher priority wireless network when it comes in range while still being connected to a lower priority wireless network.

I tried Keep the day it released, but uninstalled it within a few minutes. Can't stand the colourful interface and lack of practicality. I rely heavily on my Tasks widget in my day to day life - I need to be able to list lots of stuff and add and remove tasks quickly as needed, in a manner that doesn't hurt my eyes.

I use Keep as well, but not on a daily basis. I find the organising capabilities in Any.Do and Evernote to be better. I use keep mostly to make picture notes, it has a nice interface for that.

yeah I need to get that working again. Wish Google would just implement it in the play store.

Edit: installed it again and I see it shows I have "Total Purchased $1506.62" Most of them were on sale when bought though.
