Hi,

I set my phone to use wi-fi and disabled data in the Tools widget.

Also in settings/wireless&network settings wi-fi is ticked and under mobile networks data is disabled and network mode is set to wcdma only.

I know it is using Wi-Fi as when I turn the wi-fi router off I can't surf the net/app store or sync emails and social media but my cellphone account is still going up pretty quickly.

What am I doing wrong?

when I first read the heading I was going to suggest that you try turning the wi-fi sleep pocily off so that the wi-fi stays permanently on but after reading your full post I'm not sure if it will make a difference. Still worth a try though?

What phone do you have? What Tools widget are you talking about in your opening sentence? Are you using 3rd party widgets to enable/disable 3G or WiFi? If so, not all of them work on all phones.

Have you installed Onavo or another monitor app to confirm?

This sounds very strange... never seen this before, not even on my Xperia play that run the exact same OS as the S

On on Desire HD I use the 'quick settings' tab to put off my mobile data. If my Wi-Fi router is off I don't use any data. I haven't used any mobile data for the last 2 months since getting the R201 router.

Using the widget that came with the phone.
I have My Data Apps installed, it also says I have used nothing but Wi-Fi but my cellphone account cost keeps going up.

Right now I am trying to log into my 3g modem's account and transfer data to the phone but this is also not working (verification pictures/sounds on the page do not work)

I have a feeling this has more to do with your account than the device?

Did you or do you have another SIM for that number and seeing that you had to get a Micro SIM what did you do with the old one?
