Hey all..

The miniUSB port on my Desire has passed on, have tried just about every solution I could find on XDAforums, with no luck.

So I am sitting here with a rooted/CM7 HTC Desire that I cannot flash with a stock ROM or unroot...

The device is still on warranty, still new, is it worth sending it back to my service provider to look at it?

You can try but as I understand it rooting your phone and flashing it with a custom rom that is not approved by the manufacturer voids the warranty. soz

Cant you copy stock rom onto your SD card and flash it back with recovery?

Most of the time if its a hardware issue they dont look at the OS but I would try to flash back a Sense rom before I send it in.

Problem is, it's that whole connector that seems to have died. (mini USB and the SD card reader)

It's not reading ANY SD cards etc.

So I cannot really flash it with any sense ROM.

Well like I said, you can try, but if they want to be hard a..ed about it they can as your warranty is gone.

That is the only reason my DHD is still on stock, but there is people on the list that rooted and got repairs done under warranty.

Looks like I don't have much of an option.. will have to take it back to the store tomorrow.
