Another Account hacked

My NOD32 alerts me when something like that pops up, and hey i'm running Win7 RC1 (got it from M$ directly :p)
 
There is slight slight over head with zone alarm, as it analyzes the packets before they are released.

I'm running a legit copy of Win 7 from MS themselves. Its not the latest version though as I have not bothered to download the massive files. I've also checked everything with spybot and hijack this, but cant find anything.

There is also only one other person who knows my account details. Its my Guild master, When my account is back up and running or if I can catch him on Vent tonight I'll check with him. I do trust the guy though as we have known each other for over 15 years, That and I know he was at work during the time it was hacked :)

If your machine is clean then thats the problem. It may have been caught on a key logger the night before on your GM's PC and they only used the information the following day.
 
Not really, only if the gm had your email details as well. Cause wow sends a email confirmation to you, before the do the change?
 
It only sends the confirmation to change if you are on the battle.net system, I wasn't... Which of course I am now. Before it only sent an email telling you that the password was changed.
 
Just been thinking as well. I Win 7 setup so that any installation of any files requires admin Authorisation. It is a pain as some programs actually need admin auth to run when installed as well.

Could things still install through this?

The UAC should always ask for programs to install. Half the time malware/trojans don't even need to installed, just run
 
Yeah virus,etc are not something that gets installed like normal apps. They would just run (loaded into mem, registery, etc)
 
But thats what I mean, if any program tries to load into memory, It always asks for Admin rights first? Pretty sure though the bastards find ways around things like that.

Used 3 different virus scanners now though, and still nothing. Also have not heard anything from Blizz yet either

EDIT: Guess I should check my mail.. seems my char has been restored, along with a whole lot of other things from other chars I hadn't even notices was missing
