Another Account hacked

oh noes.. *cries* you insulted me. You have a key logger or trojan, which your uber virus scanner did not pick up. Simple. Or you have FLASH which is not updated and it used an exploit to get the details. Format, reinstall. Rinse and repeat.
Can you not make a comment anywhere without pretending that your some ultimate South African male, Who actually comes across as a snotty nosed "1337" kid straight out of varsity who pretends to know it all.

As previously stated, I'm currently running WoW on Win7, Flash doesn't work with the new IE unless in compatibilty mode. As for my "uber" virus scanner, I installed mcafee last night to see if anything had gotten past copfilter, and AVG, since they are offereing a trial on their full secruity suite with win7 beta. It was also clean.

Happy?

lol, priceless.

Well did it ever occur to that perhaps your anti virus scanners are not picking up the malware. And further more, perhaps run the came on the prescribed operating system instead of running it on untested, ****ty platforms like win 7, new exploits and viruses get released daily for that os, and i can assure you, the "1337" hacker kids you refer to are just sitting waiting to target people like you. :D

And im not south african :D and ive been outa varsity for quiet some time now:)

And what exactly is an ultimate south african male, that makes no sense. Is that some Alberton slang?

Kalvaer, did you use the curse client (software) to update mods or the curse website itself?

What does where I have to stay have to do with anything? You really are a complete idiot with an ego problem.

Would his royal highness care to please let the rest of us know what OS we should all be running, what virus scanners are the safest from your massive amounts of knowledge in your clearly astonishing little world you rule over?

I have started using the client in the last 2 months, but I know tons of others that have as well?

I have started using it in the last 2 months, so yes.

Well you used some slang which i was curious about.

Well there are numerous OS's, XP(properly patched), OS X.

And get kaspersky. Nortan, AVG, Avast, McAfee they are all terrible , they dont detect half the stuff most of the time, and when they do they cant remove the infections. I infected myself with the win32.CIH.b which nortan and mcafee claim to remove. It just said you are infected, but we are unable to clean. Awesome.

You can now please bow before your king, and sit at my heel.

Nod32 + Zone alarm keeps me safe

Like i said, the curse client is not the problem.
That response was aimed at me, I was curious... had a couple guildies hacked through the client recently

Zone alarm is good if you can muddle through the irritating pop-ups. I know there was a security problem with the app a few months back, but i know they patched it. Personally automatic update systems like that make me extremely wary i would not use them personally.

My friend was exploited through flash, but that also has since been fixed with the patch.

Thats what I was worried about as well, with the client I mean. I use an IP cop system instead of zone alarm which my wife uses (something they forced her to put on at WITS and she HATES. I must get her a new laptop though and we can finally get rid of it since she has left WITS due to all their BS) . Its got a AV installed on it, and I was also using AVG on my system. No scans I have done so far have detected anything out of the norm

I prefer Zone Alarm due to their constant pop-ups, and notifications. Sometimes it feels like i'm getting spammed, but I know my pc inside, and easily follow what its doing :)

Everytime I run my curse client to update, i scan it through with Nod for viruses and ZA for spyware. It does take longer than usual, but it keeps me safe

True or you could not use the curse client and download the addons manually?

Sounds like flash then, if the IPCOP didn't stop it, its something that was accepted through the system

he said flash doesnt work in incompatibility mode. IP Cop is not that great at preventing malicious action.

Good point, IPCOP is better at preventing hackers from getting into your network

Resolves fine my side.

Its one of these unknown problems... the curse client connects and i'm able to get my mods from there, yet any browsers just give a redirecting loop (cookies are enabled)

im using firefox 3.5b4 dunno if there is some sort of fix in there.

If you really wanna burn someones account permanently, hack it then stand in Ironforge spamming racist hatred. Happened to my extremely well geared 80 mage.

Blizzard basically told me they don't care who was using the account, offenses like that are a perma ban and irreversable. Go figure.

I tell you arguing with French support is like arguing with a Dunlop retread its just pointless.

They obivously got your email login details as well as you have to confirm via it. You should check into getting a secure email and stay away from gmail, etc for your accounts at least. What a friend of mine does it write all your passwords down on notepad and then just copy and paste them in as needed.
