Another "New PC Build" Help

The case has arrived!

Hopefully will have time to build the system tonight / tomorrow.

Need to still decide what I'm gonna do about my ssd in current machine without having to do a new install.

I just don't know how it's going to react with the programs installed on other drives, if the drive letters remain the same I'm thinking this should work fine.

You don't have to do it via CMD.

Win + R type "sysprep" and that way you can use the GUI.
 
So I'm finally ready to build!

Just curious, with the H100i V2 - do I setup it up as push or pull?

Any suggestions or does it not really matter?

Minimal difference, I believe Corsair recommends pull.
 
So got everything in the case and booted first time so that was good.

Windows did its "Getting devices ready" and then logged me in but a few things were missing so have decided instead of causing problems, I'm just going to do a fresh install.

With the fans, it seem they are all blowing out cool air (2 in the front on the rad and 1 on back of case). Is that fine or do I need 1 at least sucking air into case?

Clean install is always the best even if you have to install some programs again.

If it was me I would have the rad pull air in and have the fan in the back exhaust air out, same as a car.

Still waiting for pics :)

So have the fans in front then the rad? Currently have rad connected to case and fans connected to rad.

Will send pics once everything is neat and tidy.

Keep it like that just turn the fans around, case - radiator - fans pulling air in - exhaust fan.

Or you can just keep it like that, it might make a difference of 2-3°C at most.

Having no air pulled in from the outside should keep the case cleaner for longer inside.

Once everything is up and running I will monitor the temps and then search for what they should be and decide from there.

Busy downloading all the drivers then need to reinstall all my software and get everything to the way it was so a long night ahead of me it seems.
 
Another "New PC Build" Help

So I thought things were going to good.

I bought Phantek LED strip as the mobo supports AURA and so do these LED strips:

Only problem is, the connector on mobo and led strip don't connect properly - as soon as there is movement or I let go, they disconnect. If I hold them together and power on pc, I can customize lighting effect with AURA software. Not sure what to do.

Edit: it seems somewhere in the case are connectors for the RGB strips which will allow me to control them from the button on front of case - just need to find the connector.

So here are the pics of the connector on the Phanteks LED strip and the mobo connected pins. I have a feeling these LED strips are only meant to be used via the Phanteks P400S case as there is a dedicated button on front to change colour and pattern of LED lighting.

The first image is the connector on LED strip. Next two is the connector on mobo and then the LED extension cable you get with mobo. Can you see how different they are?

As mentioned, if held together they work but they don't stay together.
 
"Phanteks LED strips are currently compatible with the Enthoo Luxe, Luxe Tempered Glass, Mini XL, Evolv ATX TG, and Eclips P400/P400S and P400/P400S Tempered Glass. These strips will match the exterior LED strips on either case and will change all 10 different colors."

They are made to plug into the connector in the case not the motherboard.

Yes I unfortunately only saw this earlier. Not a major train smash to be honest - just need to find the connector now.

It also says it supports AURA tho so need to investigate that a little more.

It shouldn't be hidden or anything, the connector cable should be with the front USB and power button cables.
