If you were able to take everything including CPU you would've only saved R400 so not the end of the world.

Your PC is going to look awesome with that case and the black on black RAM and MB combo with RGB, you just set it to red in the BIOS to match the case.

So purchased the mobo and ram bundle.

Now I just need to find a CPU cooler. Worried as the ram might interfere with cooler. Seller said it works great with AIO but they still seem quite expensive. Any ideas?

What's AIO?

CoolerMaster 212 (forget the exact model name) is a popular and decent alternative. Third party coolers generally are better than stock in terms of temperature and noise.

One thing to be aware of is check how much clearance your case has for CPU coolers. Some CPU coolers are enormous and don't fit in all cases. That being said, most modern cases are designed to be big enough for even fairly large coolers, so it is unlikely to be an issue, but check just to make sure. You don't want to order this monstrous cooler and then get a surprise.

AIO = All In One Cooler.

This is the case I will be using: Phanteks P400S

I just checked some videos on the Coolermaster Hyper TX3 Evo and it looks like it should work a treat, it only has the mounting pins in the front and the bracket in the back, some of the other coolers I checked had brackets in the front too and they might hit the RAM.

It is raised too so it should clear the RAM or you can just mount it with the fan pointing the other direction.

The Hyper TX3 Evo is 136 mm and the case you want has clearance for 160 mm.

Its just so ugly tho. I am trying to go for a very neat and good looking PC at the same time :)

I am looking at them now to be honest (was not in the budget at all :cry: ). Just not sure to go for H100i or H80 V2. What do you think? Any recommendations? Don't have preference on where to get from if that helps?
 
Personally I think those All In One coolers are way overpriced for what they are. They aren't twice as good as regular coolers, only a little bit maybe.

You definitely don't need one of those beast dual radiator ones, just get one of the normal single fan versions like the H60 but the case does support the H100i if you really want.

Yeah I was thinking of this one: Corsair H80i GT V2

But at R1500 for an extra R400 can get the bigger ones - don't know if it makes any sense paying the extra? Or is the H60 just a better option and will it work with LGA1151? I can save almost R900 if the H60 will work fine?

Keep in mind these don't really cool any better than the Coolermaster fans, they are mostly for aesthetic purposes.

You don't have K-series chip so you're not overclocking, the H60 will be fine.

Yeah I thought they wouldnt. My only concern with normal coolers is the height for the ram.

This is the Ram

If there is a cooler that looks good and will fit then that will also work.

All the normal HSF solutions look basically exactly the same, big heatsink with one or two 120 mm fans slapped to it.

The H75 is only R100 more than the H60 and it's your best bet price/performance wise. The H75 is just thick with the dual fan, look at some videos of the H60 and H75 etc.

With the whole side panel being glass you're going to want something that looks good.

Yeah have no problem with how some of them look - only concern is will they fit with ram. Obviously where ever I can save cash I will, just don't want to land up with something I cant use.

Which one looks nice to you and I'll see if I can figure out if it will fit the case and not hit the RAM.

All of them look the same to me, big heatsink with a big fan on the side and most of them are going to sit 2 cm from the side panel of your case.

If it was me I would get either the H60 or H75.

Yeah to be honest am leaning more towards aio from corsair. If I was going to get H75, surely then it makes more sense to spend the R200 extra and go for H80i GT V2?
