Anti-Virus Query

How would i go about getting a "on-the-go" or Mobile Anti-Virus (Not For A Smartphone) that i can have installed on a CD or a flash that i can use to scan computers (besides mine) that i want to use, for instance if i want to open any files on an external device such as a flash or a EHDD that i plug into those other computers. i dont want it to scan my extetnal devices that i plug in but the whole computer im about to use.

Avast rescue disk, you boot from the flash drive and it scans the computer.

In order to make a rescue disk you need to have avast installed on your pc first, unless there is an ISO on the web somewhere.

oh i see but isnt there a way to have a seperate virus scanner on a external device to scan any computer you plug it into?

You dont want to boot from a USB that has a antivirus on it?

no, just an antivirus on a seperate external device such as a CD or Flash that can scan any computer you plug it into with interface etc just to make sure the pc is clean and any other device i plug in wont get infected if theres any viruses, maleware or spyware present on the pc. also i dont want to install it on that pc it should be installed on the external device
