Yes, I found this to be very effective.
Use anti-ant bowls for doggies' food (you can make your own easily)

Tried and tested.

Any artificial sweetener with aspartame, they love it to death. Eradicates nest in 7-14 days. The problem with eradicating nests is after a few months another colony moves in. So control is better that eradication. Tip... don't feed them. They are where food is available. Remember they are one of the cleaners of nature.
Apparently aspartame was/is ant poison , but is low doses to humans it doubles as a sweetener... that is where the "aspartame give you cancer" comes from.

yeaaahh ... baby powder.

moved into new place, massive lawn, termites, ants of all types marching along the walls and inside the house, and spiders that would make you flinch.

I have plenty of baby powder. How exactly should I apply it and where and how much. Especially for ants in and on the walls?

Ant Trap works like a bomb for me. It's semi pet friendly. I normally put the holders under shelves or on top of counters where pets don't normally go. So even though poisonous it can be isolated to certain areas.

Ant Trap only works for ants that like sugar. The red jobbies are meat eaters so they ignore Ant Traps.

Didn't know that. Mine must have been sugar ants, the Ant Trap worked very well. No more ants in the Kitchen.

Same here. Only had a problem with black ants though. Within 2 days no more ants.

I have 2 Ant Traps...they aren't working at all...

I don't leave things out for them to eat and sometimes don't see any for days and then I drop 1 dollop of jam somewhere and WHAM! They are everywhere...

Going to try the baby powder this weekend.

I've used this before and it works very well.....just at one point some rumour on the net claimed it was a component of Chinese nuclear waste! LOL I still use it!

Yeah...setting the place on fire would get rid of the ants...but somehow I feel it's a bit excessive.

Set Fourie at Target Pest Control, [email protected], was fantastic. He's reasonably priced, laid down some stuff that's safe for pets, and the ants are still completely gone several months later.
