i just got myne and downloaded the installer now it tell me i dont have WoW on my PC i mean WTF is up with that ****. anybody with idear how to fix
 
I get invites nearly every day... I just need to click a link and log into my account and I also get beta mounts too

I got my inv on saturday morning, already had the 1st beta downloaded so just had to patch it (1.5gb worth). My Rogue is nearly 82 questing in Hyjal and I rolled a worgen who is sitting on lvl 12. Really enjoying it :)
 
Got my invite and only managed to get all the downloading and patching done in the early hours of this morning. Hopefully tonight's raid goes well and I can get to spend some time checking out the beta.

Invites get linked to one's Battle.net account so you can't pass them (unless there's something I don't know).
 
The installer uses your current wow installation, so u dont have to download 10gb. I downloaded around 4gb to get the beta working. If the installer cannot find your wow installation try run a repair on your current wow. Your registery entries maybe missing.
 
We go through this every time when we reach the end of an expansion.

Killed me DE'ing all my Sunwell gear end of TBC.
 
uhm it was the same when tbc came along the first time, I would thought by now you know current epics won't be as good as the new greens. However can you imagine the epics in Cata?
 
Its always been like this. they say *oh no the gear will last a bit* after running around and questing for about an hour you get some item/ trinket that is really pro and you think... "mmm I spend like 3-6months farming this one" >_<

But really stats at 85 must be insane then. Item and stat inflation is getting a bit hectic :S

I mean we already have like almost 90k hp feral tanks in ICC. Sure there is a 30% buff but still its insane
 
Item stats are currently out of hand... just on my hunter, I am on 70 % crit raid buffed. With no trinkets proc'd yet.

Once I drink a potion of wild magic and stuff starts proc'ing... 100 % crit at 1400 ArP (100 % ignore armor).
 
at lvl 81 wearing alot of the new greens my HP has gone from 26k to 38k should get to around 60k at 85. The new food heals for 63k over 20sec. I am going to get to 83 in full cata greens and try get a icc group together to steamroll LK.

What's the point in playing at all then? Fact is there's always going to be some new item which will be better than what you currently have at some point in time.

The reason to get the best gear you can now (farming the purples) is so that you can clear the current content with "ease" (unless you already have killed LK 25 HC then you pretty much are done) and get an easier time leveling until you get those upgrades. I can farm dailies now way easier than I could when I was a fresh 80, same thing will apply when the expansion gets released, you get an edge over the rest; maybe not a big one but it's still an edge.

As to the stats thing: remember that the stat rating to percentage ratios change every time an expansion gets released. If I remember correctly you needed 127 Hit Rating to be hit capped against a lvl73 boss in BC and in WotLK you currently need 263 HR against a lvl83 boss. So in Cataclysm, against a lvl88 boss, we'll prolly need something in the region of 300+ HR to be hit capped. Same thing will happen to all other ratings, we'll need more rating to get the equivalent percentage we have now.
 
well last night i did a quest in Hajal, the 1 reward was a green mace with 871 SP on it and some other stats.
so far iteams seem to be very insane makes ICC gear look like a joke..

another note, the Dungeons atm are dam insane and very hard if you dont know strats for bosses... the monsters also hit **** hard.
