Anyone have any experience with Datakeepers VPS hosting?

On the datakeepers.co.za and virtualservers.co.za website they stated. "We're quite certain that we've been doing this longer than anyone else around here, so we've really got the hang of it. We have the knowledge, expertise and in-depth experience to provide you with precisely what you need – whatever it may be – when it comes to virtual servers, cloud backup and disaster recovery services."

Their prices seems good and even offer one month free with server migration but 1) No reaction to email send to them two days ago and 2) when chatting with a agent no reaction at all too.

Anyone actually host with them and can give some review?

I have two servers with Datakeepers/Virtual Servers. The machines are performing well, internet connection speeds are very good and so is their service. Will definitely recommend them.

What does the Uptime look like?
I am currently with Afrihost, and the servers in the past year was more down than up. I am fed-up and want to move. Setting up a server is a load of work, so want to be certain before I make a change. But change IS going to happen

I would never recommend Datakeepers.

I selected the VPS to rent, with the Payfast Payment portal the payment started loading my Banks 2FA and then got stuck, cancelled that payment to retry it. Could not retry, contacted support then they ask me where I'm from, what I want to use it for and said I'm flagged and cannot use their service. No explanation why I'm flagged, I've never used them previously.

Any recommendations for other providers?

Unfortunately signing up with a disposable email address, unreachable contact number, international VPN and other unverifiable details will flag your order. If we can't "KYC" you in the least, we have every right not to accept your order without reason.

In the time it took you to find this post from 2018, you could have rather communicated better with us directly - after all, we did reply instantly.

I did, response I kept receiving is we have the right to withhold the reason. If they gave me the reason you did here now I could have explained that I'm currently abroad on a project and would have gladly turned my RSA phone number on.

Been with datakeepers for 2 years now. Have around 30+ hosted services with them with no issues. Can definately say we are very happy with Mark and the Team. Will never host with afrihost ever again.
