That seems to be a good machine too , bigger screen , doubled vram and slimmer design.

Yeah, it also gives you the option to remove the optical drive and either slap in a placeholder to make it lighter, or it can be used with a bracket for an extra drive.

It also has two other normal slots for 2TB drives (comes with one already) and two mSata slots.

While it might only be a 4th gen i7, I still think it's a pimping machine. I might just got for it :D

So I've noticed that Evetech has quite a few P37W laptops with different combinations of RAM and hdd space starting at R22.5k going up quite a bit more.

But their cheapest p35W (http://www.evetech.co.za/n/1055/gigabyte-p35w-v3-core-i7-gaming-laptop-deal-with-128gb-ssd.aspx)
comes in at roughly R26k -

with specs which look to be equivalent to a R24k P37w

What am I missing? Why should the 15" lappy be more than the 17" one?

Evetech probably made a mistake or running a promotion maybe ?

if you look else where , you will find P35W is priced around R24xxx.

Slim and light are always my top prioroty. Is there a prize to win ? Lol

size and discrete graphic card performance for me. I can always add/modify RAM and/or storage later, but once the graphics card is set, that is it.

Actually the form factor combined with good discrete graphics options is what is leading me towards gigabyte options instead of ASUS/MSI offerings at the moment

Huh, no laptop to win.... Lmao

Yip, it is why I wanted it. And I don't do gaming. :)

That survey was for a 'gaming laptop'.

People also wan't to have slim & light which for me translates to nothing bigger than 15.6" display and I really don't see the point of 4k at that size, 1440p would be plenty. Most people don't even game at 4k on their desktops yet as it's very expensive, you need 2-3 980ti level performance cards to get acceptable performance (60+ fps) for aaa titles.

4K on laptops is quite unnecessary , everything will be so small appearing on the screen. but 4K TV , hell yeah ~ definitely need one !
