Apple announces new iPad launch date

No. Go back and actually read what I've stated, instead of changing tack because your straw man argument has no merit.

What's sad is your continued ignorance of the point made.

I said that Apple are exactly the same as the Android OEM's. I'm not saying that Apple is right. I'm saying that the Android OEM's are doing the same thing as Apple but you are cherry picking information to make it seem as if Apple are making a huge issue about their new product and Android OEM's product launches are all understated affairs. You know that's crap and are hiding behind the whole "Cult of Mac" thing.

I said that Apple are exactly the same as the Android OEM's.

Which is wrong, and I've show you why. Of the Android OEM's mentioned, only LG launched their flagship device at a separate event, which was press-only. My initial statement stands- that you're wrong to compare the scale of Apple's launches to Android OEM's.

The only similarity is that Android OEM's launch their devices using public platforms to do so. No one except you assumed them to be understated, but they are just not on the same scale as Apple's. I'm not sure how you do not see this.

You believe I'm cherrypicking information, but you're working off opinion. You can look up the launches of each Android flagship and rightly see that their scale is not close to what Apple does, are rarely done in isolation, and do not have massive separate events to announce them. Apple dodges all of the electronic trade shows specifically to launch their devices on their platform, and they do so at a much larger scale than other OEM's.

It's fine. You are right. I was wrong. Apple are always showing off with large scale events and everyone else just use trade shows. Sorry for trying to imply that maybe, for once, Android might have some similarity to Apple.

Android /= Android vendors. You'd have had better luck comparing Google and Apple, because Google do have an analogue to Apple's WWDC.

But they don't make out like every model is the second coming do they?
Apple think it's like announcing they discovered god

Well it obviously works for them......currently the most valuable tech company in the world. So, they are doing their marketing properly, perhaps other rival companies should take note.

Samsung Note 3 and Samsung Tab S 10.5 user

I had too.........jeeez this topic is worse than the Israel Arab ones :D
My best mate and I have this thing ......He loves apple ......I love anything but ha ha

Apple announces new iPad launch date
No, they haven't.

It's the media that makes this such a circus, not Apple. Funny thing is Apple spends a mere fraction of Samsung's $14 billion on advertising.

ISPs makes even a bigger circus out of it.

Huh? Did this not happen then?

Uh huh, because it was convenient for the point you were making.

Sure, but how often have they had those sorts of events? Not very often, and they usually stick to using either IFA or MWC as their launch platforms. Probably because they wouldn't garner the interest in their keynotes as Apple does.

What is interesting is that the way Apple introduces their products hasn't materially changed in 17 years.

I thought that I had mentioned this, but reading back I see I did not. It's a part of their identity, and good on them for sticking with it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't the Galaxy S III & IV both unveiled at special events 'Samsung Mobile Unpacked'? This was an exclusively Samsung products event.

This thing is going to be incredible, amazing, smarter and smarter, better and better, revolutionize, easy, useful, great, awesome, beautiful

No. That was in your mind only. All Samsung product releases are done at trade shows only. It's only Apple that have special events.

You'd think that you would at least read a couple of posts back before embarrassing yourself.

The S2 and S5 were unveiled at MWC. The S3 was unveiled at a special event in London 2013 and the S4 at a special event in New York 2014. Google it
