iPhone 16 launched

Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 series of smartphones during its "Glowtime" event on Monday, 9 September 2024.

The most significant change is the inclusion of a dedicated camera control button. The new button is featured on all four iPhone 16 models.

As expected, nothing to write home about. Same old same old. AI features aside, this looks like the way forward with cellphones... they will all be a rehash of the same things.

See you next year Apple.

So Camera improvements finally. Button really not? Most will use a remote button anyway.

In all honesty, most use their phones as cameras these days. So keep up or loose out. So looking through the specs there is actually a few minor changes it the front glass, a few other things.

As for the MicroSD? Its as useful as a Rom drive on an Xbox, its cheaper to buy your games generally on the store, than buy the physical discs, or so I have found.

What do you mean by the Micro SD reference?

$1300 vs $430 so yes.
It's $1300 because of other expensive tech that make it that price .... it's a 4K OLED display & 12GB RAM

Anyway - since when do you like DXOMark?

Apple have never been #1 on there and thus, most Apple right it off.

Yes, I know it's a shitpost, but so much of it is true. Apple could be so much better, but it's not.

Yeah, so the base iPhone is not worth the pennies IMO, even as an Apple user. The iPhone really is the iPhone Pro and Pro Max models. Don't even get us started with the SE models (whew, poverty). I wouldn't buy a base iPhone.
