It amazes me how many Droid and Crackberry Trolls surf a forum that they want nothing to do with, yet spend the whole day surfing......

I know it sounds like a sense of entitlement, but when the advert says you get the free set of tires when you purchase the car, would you not insist that they give you the promised tires?
The question is not whether you actually need the tires at that moment, but that it was included in the offer.

Apple have since removed the free bumper page from the South African website.

All is fair in love and war but outside of those boundaries we have to play by the rules.

I spoke to Core and they are willing to provide me with a free bumper, but not a selection of cases like the ones you can get in the rest of the world. Oh well, at least I'll have some protection.

I'm getting it from vodacom, even though I got my phone before vodacom started carrying the bumpers

I went to go pick up my iphone 4 from MTN today and asked them about it,the lady had no idea what I was talking about and then another guy said"We not giving out free bumpers because apple fixed the signal problem."

I then informed him that vodacom was giving them out and that they should be too.

Yeah, and even though she says that Apple will send the bumper free of charge, we all know they won't, because people have already tried and Apple said that they do not ship to SA

What amazes me is how presumptuous some people are. I don't have a 'droid or Crackberry. In fact, I've had iPhone since its been available in SA. And BTW, I bought a cover for my phone.

I only tried to make a point about the free cover program. Its not like people are buying the phone because of the free cover, and people would buy a cover anyway, whether its free or not. The point I was trying to make is that it amazes me how people can be so self entitled as to insist on something that is free, not because they need it or earned it, but simply because it is free.

Another poster's tyre example does not exactly hold either. Apple are not offering free covers in order to try and sell more phones. The car dealer is not offering free tires to try and appease the masses because of a design flaw in the car, they are doing it to sell more cars. A very different scenario.
 
People want free stuff,I want free stuff and I want my bumper! R10 that MTN are holding them and then when the promo is over are going to start selling them in the shop.

Must agree - if you have an iPhone you're flashing around an expensive piece of equipment - and now ppl want to be petty about a cheap little bumper??? If you can afford an iPhone the go out and BUY a cover (I did)...
