Hey All,
I'm adamant that everyone who has bought a iPhone in South Africa before 30 Sep is entitled to a free case from Apple. They are doing it everywhere else in the world, why not here?
You need to get the "Case Progam" app from iTunes and then apply from within the app. This is to ensure that you can only ever get one case per iPhone, it verifies the IMEI number.
The problem however is that the app is not available in the SA app store. Also, even if you get the app (by using an international account) you can't set the shipping to South Africa.
I've spoken to the Core (the guys who one the iStores) and the CEO has emailed Apple Europe to find out what is going on. Hopefully we will have answers soon.
If you want to check out the details of the program you can see them here: http://www.apple.com/iphone/case-program/
