Apple iPhone 4S arrives

I am a iPhone 3G and 4 owner, considering getting this:

Hopefully it works out for you.

Everybody is writing off Siri, I think its the next change in the way we use our phones - provided it works well. Knowing apple, it should be pretty slick.

That said, its not something new, google voice search provided a voice driven way to search for items or even kick off certain tasks. It didnt work so well though.

For developers, iOS5 GM seed available now...

Someone should bring out a pouch for this thing with a magnifying plastic cover to make the screen look bigger. Seriously Apple, the jump in screen size from the iPhone to iPad is just too big. I only discovered how small the iPhone screen really is when I got my SGS2 ... and now I won't go any smaller. I believe Apple made a mistake not to increase the size.

So people who made up rumors based on no evidence or history are then disappointed when their fantasies don't match reality? Like I said, comedy gold.

History, release cycles, it all means nothing. The competition haven't been sitting idle and June next year seems like an eternity away. Hopefully by then we actually get a screen bigger than 3.5 inches. I'm no apple hater, i'm typing this post on a 27inch iMac. The bottom line is apple are a little behind the times with their current screen size.

If Siri works it will revolutionize the way we use our devices!! No doubt about it!! There is a suggestion that Siri works out the box but gets better with time as it learns your voice. Personally I'm very excited at the prospect this piece of software brings to the functionality of the device.

The competition is still behind according to the market, as witnessed by the fact that the 1.5 year old iPhone 4 is still the best selling phone in the world. Until the 14th at least.

You're satisfied with the 4S then?
It's pretty much as the rumor mill predicted it would be with the exception of the bigger screen. Personally I find 4" too big to use with one hand. But really they could have called it a 5 or a 4S, 6 of the one and half a dozen of the other.

iOS5 is really the upgrade we should be interested in.

I think a lot of iPhone 5 hype kept the 4 floating....but now that the expectations of many has been crushed by Cookie, things don't look so rosy anymore. And most probably the reason why ol' Steve Jobs retired. He knew what was coming.

Sure, a good annual update for an already good phone.

So 16 months later, and all you get is a better camera and a new CPU that I already have in my iPad? You're happy with that?

Okay... I can tell you that I am not.
