Apple iPhone 4S arrives

Personally I don't see it as much of a problem at all. I carry my phone in my pocket and generally use it with one hand. Plus battery life is always a priority.

I guess time will tell.
 
So Steve leaves apple and no iphone 5, Lars leaves cellc and data prices go up....am i the only one realising how we r being scrwd?

It is hard to take you seriously - however - I'm not quite sure how the anticipation of a new phone would spur sales of an old phone. In fact I think you'll generally find the opposite.

It is completely unsurprising based on their previous release cycle. The 16 months later is irrelevant as it seems the delay was with iOS5 rather than the hardware.
 
On the plus side, at least you wont look like you have an outdated phone when carrying around an iPhone 4 :D
 
Icyrus, I am a huge Apple fan and I am disappointed. I expected at least a larger screen. SiriOSly.

A torch in front of the lens of the iPhone 4 will also increase the light intake ... no need for a CMiOS chip ...

I agree, but however you look at this the hype cycle just hit a speed bump. Sure it'll sell millions, but only through sheer momentum. The iPhone 5 will have to bring with it a redesign otherwise people are going to believe apple is not the same without Jobs. Sure, that might be idiotic because as we all know apple products are designed years in advance, but public opinion is what it is.

Ok but I'm not sure why you expected that. Most iPhone users are on a 2 year contract and Apple tends to save major updates for the 2 year cycle.

Besides the competition with larger screens aren't exactly hitting it out the park at the moment.

It always seems to be the same story after an Apple announcement. Remember the emerging tech world consensus shortly after the iPad announcement?

Yip, and i defended it. This time i actually do think they might have stumbled a little. Its not major though, in 9 months we will all be enjoying our iPhone 5's. But you have to admit, the nexus prime and the like are looking damn impressive. The last time we got an "S" model competitors were still way behind, things are a little different now. If apple wants to hold the lead going forward they are going to have to not make the mistake of being bland every two years. Remember, tech wise there isn't much more that phones can do, so design matters. Oddly enough i think stuff like siri could be the way forward.

I wonder how all those sweat shops in China are feeling after spending many dollah on stealing a "prototype iPhone 5" and producing all those cases in advance? KIRF guys will have to come to the rescue so they at least have something to use the cases on :p
