Personally the iPhone 4 was already far ahead of any Android device in the main spec that counts to me, battery life.

Yeah I'm sure the predictable yearly release schedule definitely grates on the people who'd like to update their phones every three months and the software developers who love having yet another device to test their products on.

And how well does it work?

I used it on my iPhone 4 and it had limited functionality and wasn't accurate. The challenge being background noise and different accents. Pretty much been the downfall of most voice recognition apps.

My point really is voice recognition software is nothing new but one that works accurately would be.

Lol I mentioned the fail of the new iPhone here at work and the iFans were on me in seconds stating how this and that is new and better but all I could say to them was "we have been having that". :D They were pissed. lol

Poor iFans lost their dealer and their latest fix from apple just ain't doing it anymore...

Hi this is the new apple lolphone 9 and we are so not gonna bring out a new model in 3 days to keep all the suckers throwing their perfectly good hardware away and surrender more of their hard earned cash to us!
 
Big OR stamp on the 4S, siri is cool but the only good thing to come out of this release was iOS5. Wont be rushing out to get a 4S, 4G is just fine for now. iFail!

So are you against the iPhone or progress in electronic technology all together? What phone do you have?

Use Google dude. The information is out there. There are plenty articles I have read where even iOS5 is lacking compared to current releases of Android. And Android is about to get another release pushing it even further ahead.

Don't believe marketing hype and whatever Apple tells you. Get the information yourself. It is out there. Facts are facts.

I am not brand loyal. I go with whatever is the best at the time of purchase/upgrade. And Apple ain't it! They set the benchmark but it kind of ends there now.

I went less bling and less money out of my pocket per month and took a Nokia E5. I know myself, I lose interest in all the bell and whistles after a month and use a mobile to phone/sms, check email and reply to only the most urgent of urgent, and open the occasional website.

What I am mostly opposed is the price at which these devices come, it's absolutely insane. It is also very questionable when a mobile phone becomes a fashion statement.

Same here - looking forward to upgrading and the 4s seems to fit the bill. Apple have announced a phone that seems to be tailor-made for the iOS5.

Make a note to get the Sony Xperia Play when your contract comes up for renewal - It is a no frills,no mess,no fuss kind of a phone.Right up your alley :p
Or you could also try the HTC Evo 3D
