Both actually, for Android users its as simple as installing launchers and widgets (no root needed). iOS users need to Jailbreak and apply "spring's" and whatnot, and this is before we get to the actual design of themes if you want your own look/feel.
 
I would like to see how the apps compare. There are a number of apps and games I use which have been more (for lack of better word) more polished on the iPad which have phone versions. Flipboard for Android pales in comparison. Can't really makes the call without seeing if the iPhone version is worse. The only deal breakers which iOS fails terribly in is file management and connection options, if they focused on that and not stupid maps it would be difficult to say that Android is the better OS.
 
So much haters in this thread. Can't sift through the sense from the crap.

The point is the processor in iPhone 5. That's the exciting thing about. Twice as fast as any mobile device on the planet.

This forum is for a bunch of geeks so I'm sure someone has picked up on this already. My apologies if you have ;)

Only Apple, sorry Foxconn, manufacturers the iPhone, so it might sound impressive that they have sold so many.

If I added all the Android manufacturers together and treat them as one entity, those figures won't look so hot anymore.

Wow, these Apple fans never seem to allow facts to get in the way of delusion!

Care to share the link where these facts are shared? I've heard talk of it being twice as fast as the old iPhone, which would not take much doing. I've then also seen some geekbench benchmarking where it only just beats the SGS3 (around 1600 vs 1500) but then I have seen SGS3 tests showing a result of around 1750, so the possibility exists that the iSheeple were conveniently testing the dual core SGS3 in the initial tests. Even based on the former results my maths does not show that to be twice as fast as the SGS3, and I'm certain that is one of the mobile devices on the planet.

And people wonder where the anti-Apple sentiment comes from...

And there is why this thread is still going. Yes the processor is impressive and it is not a bad phone but please post links of benchmarks where it is twice as fast as any mobile device on the planet.

It certainly isn't twice as fast as any mobile device, that's quite ridiculous claim to make. It does however smear on SGS3 from Anand's benches so you could safely call it the fastest phone in the world right now.

It would look even less impressive if you added up all the figures of all phones ever sold and throw in cars while you're at it.

As stated, I have seen bench marks in which it is SLIGHTLY faster than the SGS3 (is slightly the same as smeared?) and others in which the SGS3 is faster. I have also read, not being an expert on petty things like this myself, that it was on certain TESTS that the iPhone got its points while in others it was well behind. Some sites alluded to the fact they thought the latter were the more important tests... but then they too may have been biased. You can often make numbers say what ever you want.

I have also heard talk of the benchmarks not using all four cores of the SGS3 but I suppose that is neither here nor there. If an Apple fan feels this is the bit of data that proves how the iPhone is the best device ever then let them have their fun. What is more important to me is whether those benchmark numbers will even be noticeable in the real world.

The full mixed suite of benches are also pretty solid.

As for noticeable in the 'real world', I'd hazard that they will be noticeable especially in gaming - look at Real Racing 3 screenshots. It really is an insanely fast piece of silicon.

I don't 'feel' that a bit of data proves one thing or another, but you can be pretty sure if the benchmarks were the other direction there would be no end of it from the other side.
