Apple iWatch reports

Sorry, even if this does work I still think it's a dumb idea.

Why on earth would I want a bulky device on my wrist and if it's not big enough it's just going to be a pain to use. Lose lose situation in my eyes. I would much rather wear something like Google Glass before I wear an iWatch.

The Pebble is pretty horrible. I regret funding it. Whatever it's functionality, it's a digital watch at the end of the day.
Sitting disused

It still sucks less than the rest out there. :D

To add to the discussion I still think Apple would make a huge mistake if they aim for the arm's. Looking at past sales of other similar products, its just not something I would tackle.

Edit: and do not get me started on batteries for the colored ones, its enough that my tablet needs to recharge every second day.

But in the past few years they've upped their game, with huge reveals of their latest offerings, and new wow features almost becoming the norm. Look at the outcry when Iphone 5 didn't have too many amazing never before seen features. we got siri last time, now we just get a longer phone. oh yes im sure they do care what the media thinks, im sure they care deeply, because the media can make or break them. Most people I know who have iphones have them because they're trendy, just like most people had blackberries before that and nokia before that. If the media starts seeing them as has-beens, the crowds are going to move on and they fall back to their 10% market share.

Edit* and if the investors are unhappy, so is the board. And if the board is unhappy, management can start looking for new employment.

As for the "outcry" for the iPhone 5 release....that was pretty much a small but vocal crowd.
Exactly the same outcry as when the 3G, the 3GS, the iPad etc were released.
The reality was that the iPhone 5 turned out to be the most popular iPhone yet

True :)

Really? My iPad needs charging about one every 2 weeks. And it is used daily

Yep my iPad needs a charge every 2 days, but I guess thats what 5 hours a day does to it. and if you tell me you get more than 10 hours actual use off a single charge I would call it BS and you a lair.

Actual usage between charges is probably about 10 hours

Ah the old Apple is only successful because of their marketing canard. Never gets tired does it.

nope, never said the only reason, but you can't deny it plays a significant part. Most of the people I know with Ipads wouldn't know the difference between that and a 800 buck sansui lifepad.

I sure can deny it as you have no evidence otherwise. As to your friends, I am sure the would know the difference the moment they used it.

I certainly don't think my personal limited experiences count as facts.

So you believe that most people buy apple products because they've tried a few alternatives and come to a rational judgement. Sorry but that doesn't happen anywhere else in this world, so why should it happen here. The facts are in the tens of thousands of consumer profiles drawn up every year to explain why companies like nike will sponsor Rory McIlroy 150m pounds to wear their logo.

You're trying to imply that people need to test out different phones before they can decide what is best for them.
If you want the latest big apps first, why would you test other phones? You know exactly which phone is best for you already.
And their are a myriad of other valid reasons.

I'm sure this will sell like hotcakes, even if it is a pile of ****. The power of marketing.

No I'm trying to refute your argument that people are largely rational when it comes to their purchases and that media/hype/trends don't play a significant part in those choices.

Be careful :p

@Jstrike - Look, don't get me wrong, their products are fantastic and they have worked hard to get to where they are and deserve every bit of their success. Even if they are filthy patent trolls.

But surely you understand why they would want to protect their IP, esp if what you said earlier is true?
