Apple just sucks - full stop.

I have used CopyTransManager before and it worked great (the only problem is that it doesn't support the latest Ipod nanos last time I checked).

Of all things Apple, iTunes is the worst.

Messes up my music collection constantly and doesn't remember tags. I started from scratch a week back and imported everything into my library ... And I see the 'compilation' tag that took me weeks to do doesn't follow through and I need to redo it.

Of all media manager I've ever had, I've spent the most time on importing libraries and fixing iTunes than anything else. When I first got it I assumed it was smart and chose it to manage my music for me .... Bad idea! Took me months to fix it again
WOW, still so much hate for iTunes; I never have issues, could it have something do with the user? :D

Glad to see though that you've made progress with the tags, well done :D

If you want to help her, install iTunes and just suck it up. If not, give her the nr of the Apple store and tell her to call someone who can put up with her cluelessness.

Or if she's cute get to contact one of us  :D

if you install it on your pc it will erase all of her music and sync your. GG apple well played there. My wife cant put new music on her iphone 4 because the laptop she originally synced it to is gone. Now its either lose all the stuff on it and start again or live with what is on it.

Just uncheck auto sync music and it won't... it's not rocket science.

I've just synced a 2004/5 iPod Photo using the latest version of iTunes. Could her iPod be broken? Or is it perhaps older than mine?

I synced a 1st generation iPod the other day, had only been connected to iTunes once in its life... just updated the iPods software automatically... all the tunes were still there.

Erm... if she does not have a pc with itunes... HTF did she get music onto the iPod in the first place?

And what is she trying to sync with.

Im guessing you missed the bit about me saying I wanted to sync it to put new music on to it, kinda hard to put music on when you are not syncing it.

'Hate' may be strong ... it's immense dislike ;)
