Apple might split iTunes into separate apps

According to a tweet by Apple leaker Steve Troughton-Smith, Apple is planning to split various iTunes features into separate apps.

“I am now fairly confident based on evidence I don’t wish to make public at this point that Apple is planning new (likely UIKit) Music, Podcasts, perhaps even Books, apps for macOS, to join the new TV app,” said Troughton-Smith.

I am now fairly confident based on evidence I don’t have that I don't care.

Would be good since the interface is currently quite cluttered. Haven't used iTunes in like 2 years though, so could have improved.

What I don't understand is why a quality brand like Apple uses a crappy system like iTunes.

Thank god. Just kill iTunes if they are unable to make it snappy with a refined UX.

It hasn't improved. iTunes is a joke. Still a laggy, jumbled, unintuitive mess.

Good joke.
MacBook Pro every year seems to have a fatal flaw, be it keyboard, battery, display cable being too short, touch bar overheating the device, random motherboard failure for no reason due to bad capacitors, etc.
Then the new Mac has just a low end HDD in it...

"Quality".
