Apple Music

So just an update I enabled iCloud Music Library on my iPhone and Mac and iTunes did its upload thing etc.

Firstly, the ability to "download" albums for offline use is amazing as there is so much to choose - the only problem I see is stopping myself from downloading everything I see.

One big problem I have tho is some of the albums I have in my library I can't get on my phone for some reason? Even when I search all music on my phone, I don't see the albums. I see other albums from the artist but not all of them I have in my local library and thus there is no way for me to get the album on to my phone.

Anyone else have this issue and maybe know of a work around?

Anyone have this problem to?

Heard many people had their existing libraries misconfigured , before i started with Apple Music i backed up the library and started from scratch with Apple Music.

Do you have the iCloud status column in your music view in iTunes? Does it show the right status for your albums that you are looking for?

Theres still some that say "iCloud Status: Waiting" and then others that say "iCloud Status: Apple Music". That could be the problem but that spinning circle on the top right where it give you update on the status of upload etc finished last week already. I have just tried to start it again and will see how it goes.

Does it make any sense at all for me to use iTunes Match?

My library on my mac is still perfect (as far as I can see), my problem is getting the local media onto my phone. But have started the iCloud Music update again and will see how it goes.

With iTunes match i sometimes have to signout, then go to menu - store - iTunes match and try signup again, it then ask for apple id, i login and music gets matched once more - this resolves the "iCloud status: waiting issue"
With Apple music i haven't had that many issues on the macbook.

Im currently not signed up for iTunes Match and to be honest don't really want to unless it will sort my problem out once and for all. Letting the iCloud Match do its thing again and will see when it is done what it says.

It does take a while, i found that I needed to just leave it overnight since i needed it to scan 2500 songs and match them, it also needed full line speed so i just switched the downloading off for one evening.

In the morning everything was sorted.

I wouldn't say so, unless you want DRM free versions of your music you upload on your devices.

Not to fazed about that to be honest unless all the music I download from Apple Music subscription I get to keep if I decide to cancel?

I just want to be able to get my local music on my phone.

No iTunes Match doesn't affect music from Apple Music.

I just want to be able to get my local music on my phone.

iTunes Match probably won't help with that as it probably uses the same matching and upload technique as iCloud Library.

UGH getting local files to my phone seems like an impossible task, useless software...

Anyone else finding Apple Music on mac terribly slow at times to start streaming ? (rMB, El Capitan).

Flawless on iPhone.

Spotify instantaneous.

Ruins an otherwise solid experience.

I'm having issues on Windows 10. Everything else streams perfectly fine.

iTunes will randomly stop playing. Annoying as hell.

Hi Guys,

My 3 free months of apple music is coming to an end which i sign up with my US iTunes account and the US version of this service is $10 a month compared to the SA R80, so the SA is much cheaper. does anyone know if there is any benefit with staying with the US one? and can i have a seperate apple music account compared to itunes account? i dont want to lose my US itunes account just for apple music?

thanks,
Max
