I've done everything - reset amp / reset TV / unplug for the day / tried switching on TV before amp, then the other way / played with every setting. I've put days into making this thing work - but it seems the FW is 'too strong' ;)

In my photos above, Netflix used to be like everything else where I could select the stream ... not sure what possessed them to gray out the sound functions.

HDMI-CEC isn’t talking properly and not “advertising” the function which is why it’s greyed out.

Are you sure HDMI-CEC is enabled fully on both devices? Which means putting TV and power control ON if they call them by those names.

100% - I've been using HDMI CEC from day 1.

You can see in the photos above, it's per app - YouTube, Apple and Amazon have zero issue in changing what sound is output. It's only the Netflix which is greyed out from the update. I also have controlled (and still do) my AVR direct from the TV remote

Yesterday i was able to get atmos through my q60r and denon x2500h and Netflix...today it's gone, no atmos at same movie i tried yesterday.. why?

Need some help, level of frustration is reaching all time high..... long story short, after firmware update, HDMI/ARC rendered useless, so I have done the workaround, disabled arc on receiver and disabled atmos compatibility on tv, connected optical, only problem I have is that tv remote will not control volume, tried setting up universal control, and I just keep getting an error while downloading, any ideas ??

in my situation after upgrade I lost hdmi connections to blueray and playstation. Technical service remotely made hard reset and I still have this issue.

So problems with HDMI/ARC/PCM/DOLBY/DOLBY+/DOLBY ATMOS output and input, settings..

Worked before update to 1351 but not now. I have a receiver who cant accept DD+ signals but when i use Netflix app it defaults to DD+ and the option to change is grayed out. The result is no sound at all......Is it possible to downgrade firmware?

I have QE65Q85R, I updated to this version and my Q80R soundbar was going crazy, playing sound for 2 seconds then reverting back to TV speakers and soundbar disappearing from sound sources menu (via ARC).


 
Samsung replied this, so it's pretty much an acknowledgement. I received new FW about a week after this message, but it didn't fix any glitches :

Please be advised that an update will be sent to fix the Glitches experienced on the units. As soon as it is available, it will be sent automatically however the unit will need to be connected to the internet to get the update.

Are they using a different sound output method though? Only Netflix doing DD+?

Seems Samsung is at least acknowledging it, so that's a start.

Amazon Prime as well (left) - but there I can select PCM / DD / DD+

Netflix just forces the DD+ signal

Mine is also old - but does DD+

Some of the other commentators with the same issue also have DD+ ... but again, not working.

Maybe a faulty DD+ stream out ?

Sounds like Samsung broke something, now you have to wait for them to fix it and then never upgrade again.

Agreed !

Auto-update is on by default, but it's never worked. I see a new FW out and have do download manually anyhow .... except for this silly update :/
 
Maybe with this next Codec. Maybe
